Betting in Advance on College Football Games of the Year
The college football season is upon us and while many bettors are eagerly looking ahead to the first week in September when the first games will be played, most don't realize that you can bet in advance on many of the biggest games of the year. Look for revenge games when trying to predict which way the lines will move. The public loves a good story. Payback for the year before will tend to make the number move in that direction once again allowing you to either middle the game of bet at the best line. For example, South Florida Travels to Connecticut late in the year to take on the Huskies who will be looking to atone for last years loss down in South Florida. UCONN is a 6.5 home dog in this one. Interesting in that UCONN has been fantastic at home going 11-2 straight up the last two seasons and 12-6 against the spread as a home dog the last 9 years.
Lots of these lines will move based on what happens in the first couple of weeks of play. For example, if USC comes out of the gate blowing the doors off their opponents you can be sure that every future game with a line posted for USC will move.
