Current Odds to Win BCS Title
2010-2011
Betting on who will win the BCS College football championship before the season starts can be both fun and profitable. Betting on who will win the BCS Title is popular among sharp, professional bettors and casual bettors alike. It’s especially popular amongst alumni of the various BCS schools. Hey, why not pluck down a few bucks on your alma mater. It’s better than sending donations! Below we will post the current updated BCS odds for the 2010-2011 college football season.
Think Alabama is favored to repeat? Nope. Guess again. The current favorite, at current odds of +450 to win the BCS Title is none other than the Ohio State Buckeyes. Huh? The Buckeyes? From the ever so weak Big 10 conference? Those Buckeyes? Yep, those Buckeyes.
As long as your willing to throw out the top few teams, there can be some value to be had here folks. Let’s toss Ohio State, Alabama and Oklahoma, all at odds of +600 or worse. Weighing in at odds of +700, or 7/1, is the mighty Florida Gators. Not a bad price on the Gators. But we can do even better. Toss out Boise St, Nebraska and TCU and we have Texas at odds of 15/1.
15/1 still not a big enough payoff for you? Well, we’re running out of teams that have a legitimate shot at winning the BCS title, but there’s still a few. How about Miami Florida with current odds of 30/1? Lot’s of folks think Dave Wannstedt and the Pitt Panthers are ready to make their BCS move. If you agree, and you’re right, you can get odds of 60/1 on that wager! Let’s not forget Pitt’s opening week opponent, the Utah Utes. Remember, they have made a claim for the title in the past, going 13-0 and beating Alabama. If Utah was able to go undefeated again, the pressure would be on to give them a shot in the BCS Championship Game. If they did, you could have odds of 100/1. Not bad for a little pre season speculation if you’re able to cash.
As you can see, if one of the favorites doesn’t win, and they don’t always win, the reward can be quite high. College football is full of surprises and we have a feeling this year we may see some teams we’re not ACCustomed to seeing, competing for college footballs top honors. Who do you like?
