Louisville hits the road tonight for it's 2nd road game in a row and it's 3rd in 4 games. After losing at Providence they came home to beat West Virginia by a point and then traveled to UCONN where they won, in OT, again by a point. In fact they have won 3 of their last 5 games by 1 point. Our numbers indicate another close game as we have Georgetown winning tonight, by a score of 76-73 which would perhaps suggest a lean towards Louisville +5. However, we think The Cardinals are up against it tonight.
They face a very good shooting Georgetown team (50% and 2nd in the nation)
that needs this game tonight in the worst way. While currently ranked 21st in
the land, there's no room for error for the Hoyas. They are just 5-4 in the Big
East which puts them in the middle of the pack. This is the time of year where
we start to talk about teams on the bubble and a loss here, at home, to
Louisville would be devastating for Georgetown.

Georgetown was 1-4 in conference play two weeks ago. Since then, they have won 4 straight conference games, 3 of them on the road and one against #8 Villanova. Now they catch Louisville nursing some injuries that should impact how this game is played, favoring the Hoyas. We just don't see Georgetown losing this game tonight. The feeling here is a Georgetown win also results in a Georgetown cover as they pull away late. Georgetown -5
In other action tonight, two more top 20 teams square off as #7 Texas hits the road to take on #13 Texas A&M. This is another spot where our numbers indicate a play on one side, yet we are going to go the other way. The numbers say Texas by a score of 69-62. That sounds about right considering Texas dispatched A&M when they met Jan 19th, 81-60.
But Texas hasn't won at Texas A&M since 2004. They are 0-6 their last 6 tries there and all of those games were decisive wins for A&M. To add as little fuel to the fire, A&M is coming off a loss to Nebraska and also get to face a higher ranked opponent as a home underdog. So we have a higher national ranking and positioning in the Big 12 on the line here tonight, with A&M, Texas and Kansas all in the hunt for the top spot. We'll call for the upset tonight.
