Beating the major US sports day in and day out, year after year is not easy. It’s now a worldwide market with edges much slimmer than in years past. But edges still exist elsewhere and one sport where professional bettors do very well is Golf. There are many ways to bet on golf. There are odds to win a particular Tournament, such as the Masters. There are head to head betting offers as well as prop bets such as, will a player finish in the top 5, top 10, and so on.

One of the most popular wagers among pro bettors is the head to head matchup. What most pro’s do, is maintain a database and keep detailed stats on each and every player on the tOur. They keep track of how each player does at every course they play on. They track how he does on each hole. How he performs in each round, in bad weather, etc. etc.

They can then analyze any head to head matchup and make their own accurate price and they are much better at it than the sportsbooks. You don’t have to be a golf fan to gain an edge. Our advice to anyone looking for a sport with which they can gain an edge with a little hard work, would be to take a long hard look at golf betting.

With that in mind, here are some Masters Odds and prop bets from 5dimes.com Sports. As you can see from the number of propositions, it’s just about impossible for the sportsbook to accurately put a price on each one. “There’s gold in them there hills!”
