Pitt vs. Iowa Football Pick with Betting Line and Preview

Pittsburgh travels to Iowa Saturday to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes in a game where Iowa opened as a -3 point favorite and has climbed to -3.5 and even -4 in spots. The reason for the move is easy enough to figure out. Iowa is in off an unexpected loss to in state rival Iowa State on the road while Pitt was barely getting by Buffalo and Maine in their first two games.
Pitt was largely un unimpressive a year ago, going 8-5 with wins against Big East opponents like Syracuse but when they stepped up in class a couple of times they were hammered, such as Miami Fla and West Virginia. Hence, the firing of Dave Wannstedt.
Iowa was also 8-5 a year ago but unlike Pitt they delivered when they stepped up. They had wins over Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State and Missouri and close losses with Ohio State, Wisconsin and Arizona.
Maybe Pitt took Buffalo and Maine too lightly. Maybe they were looking ahead to Iowa. Or, maybe, they just aren't very good and still have growing pains with new coach Todd Graham. Either way, we think the Big 10 Talent in general is better than the Big East and the added incentive of having lost to Iowa State last week puts this one over the top for us.
We'll watch the number and hope it drops back down. We'll take Iowa -3.5 and if the line drops our way, will gladly take -3 or less.
