St John's vs. Marquette

Once again last night our score prediction model nailed two underdogs with Nevada and Tennessee State however a quick look at the Tuesday card indicates slim pickens tonight.
That's not much of a surprise. As mentioned previously in these articles, this time of year, the lines tend to be much more accurate making for far fewer games with a significant margin between our numbers and the betting line.
But one game that might be worth a look tonight is St Johns at Marquette. St Johns has come through for us a few times lately and once again tonight our numbers show they are worth a look. They are a 6 point underdog at Marquette and yet we have them losing by just 3.
This is not a large enough gap for us to play. We are taking a look here simply because there is nothing else on tonight's card worth looking at.
Teams are fighting for their March Madness lives and the Red Storm sit at 15-9 but with some very impressive wins. This team has beaten Duke, Georgetown, West Virginia, Notre Dame, UCONN and Cincinnati. There's no question that should St John's get into the Big Dance, they would be a threat to any other team in the Nation.
Marquette finds itself in the same situation. They get 4 or their last 6 games at home where they have one of the best home court advantages in all of college hoops and they'll need to win every one of those if they hope to make a big dance appearance this year.
The feeling here is that St Johns is the more veteran squad with the deeper bench which should come into play down the stretch here. Not to mention that they are playing their best basketball of the year having won 4 of their last 5. Working against them is that this will be their 3rd game in 6 days.
This game has buzzer beater written all over it so we'll go ahead and give out a strong opinion on St John's +6.5
