Here we take a look around the NFL for week 15 and offer a selection on each game as well as a few best bets. It's crunch time folks! Lots of crucial must win games on tap this week and actually a few must watch games from a league that seems to offer nothing more than mediocrity each week, with very few exceptions. Enjoy and good luck!
Bears +3 over Packers - Best Bet - Could be do or die for the Bears. They dropped a 23-10 decision to the Pack back in September and have dropped their last two games, including last weeks loss to the Vikings. We have felt that the Bears were a playoff team all season. Still do. If we're right, they'll win this game. Cutler should play. We'll take the home dog here.
Falcons -1.5 over Giants - Could be the game of the week. The Falcons have already clinched a playoff birth while the Giants are still fighting for their playoff lives. For an 11-2 team, the Falcons aren't getting much respect. Rightly so. They have just squeaked by some pretty bad teams this year on several occasions and are in off a loss to the Panthers. This is their chance to send a message that they are in fact a force to be reckoned with come playoff time. No better way than to knock off the Super Bowl Champs. Also note that teams that have to win this time of year, frequently don't!
Bucs +4 over Saints - Bucs have dropped 3 in a row, one of those by a point and one of those by two points. That's unfortunate as this isn't a bad Bucs team but they are now barely hanging on to their playoff lives. This one is obviously a must win. We think they are the better team in this match up and will grab the points here.
Rams -2.5 over Vikings - The Vikings have been the better team when taking into account the entire season, stat wise, bit it's the Rams who have won 3 in a row and are on a little roll. They keep it going here.
Redskins -1 over Browns - Expect RG3 to play. Both teams on winning streaks but for the Browns, two of their 3 in a row came against the Chiefs and Raiders. Skins could reach 10 wins and finish with division games against Cowboys and Eagles. They keep it rolling here.
Dolphins -7 over Jags - Both teams playing out the season. Not crazy about laying a TD with the fish but the Jags just lost to the pathetic Jets while the Dolphins are in off games with the Pats and 49ers.
Broncos - 3 over Ravens - Yeah, we know, Ravens are a very live home dog here. But how do you go against MVP Peyton Manning. He doesn't play last year for the Colts and they win 1 game. He joins the Broncos and now they are a Super Bowl contender. Has there ever been such an impact player? Broncos have won 8 straight. Ravens have lost 2 in a row and this Ravens defense simply isn't what it used to be. Manning should once again have no trouble moving the Broncos up and down the field. Should be a good one.
Texans -9 over Colts - Best Bet - We've been saying all along that the Colts aren't as good as their record indicates. Luck is good. He may be great. But the team as a whole, is currently average at best. The Texans are in off an embarrassment in New England before a national TV audience. Expect a huge effort here from Houston and when the dust settles, expect there to be no doubt who the playoff team is. (note the difference in turnover margin between the two : +30 in favor of the Texans)
Chargers -3 over Panthers - Huge emotional win last week for the Panthers over Atlanta. Letdown time.
Seahawks -5.5 over Bills - Best Bet - Seahawks could be the surprise of this years playoffs. But for that to happen, they need this one. At less than a TD, can't resist.
Lions -6 over Cards - Won't no part of the Cardinals.
Cowboys +1.5 over Steelers - Hate to break it to fans of both of these storied franchises, but this is simply a game between two bad teams that somehow find themselves in the playoff hunt. Won't matter though. If either of these teams makes it, they will be one and done. We'll take the home dog here. Nothing strong.
Raiders -4 over Chiefs - yuck
