In an AFC North battle, in which the division title is still up for grabs, the Bengals will head to Baltimore to challenge the division leading Ravens.
Last week, the Ravens got to experience the brilliance of rookie quarterback Dak Prescott. The Ravens played the Cowboys tough for most of the Game, but ultimately succumbed to the talent of the Cowboys.
Not sure why the Ravens decided to abandoned the run last week. If you have two running backs that are having success, keep using them! Especially if your quarterback is a deep-ball thrower. Flacco needs time to get his passes off. What is a great ingredient to giving your quarterback the time to allow routes to develop? The play action pass. What’s a good way to set up the play action pass? Establish the run.
The Bengals are banged up and in a tough situation. Giovanni Bernard tore his ACL and AJ Green has a minor tear in his hamstring. If Eifert, Hill, and Dalton can pull out this win, then there is hope for the Bengals to still win the division.
AJ Green is week-to-week with his injury. If he could return to a team still contending for the AFC North title, then expect him to return sooner rather than later. If the team loses this Game and falls further back in the AFC North title hunt, is there a point to rushing him back? Especially from a hamstring injury which tends to have nagging, lingering effects.
The Bengals will be playing without their two most dynamic offensive threats against a good Ravens’ defense. Not sure how a team overcomes that. Maybe they rally around the emotions of their injured teammates and find a way to pull out a victory?
Our Pick – The Bengals offense, using yards per point to rank, is the 3rd worst in the NFL. That’s BEFORE the current injury to Greene.
We just can’t see the Bengals doing much offensively in this Game. As a result, we’re going to play the Ravens -3.5 AND UNDER 40.5
