The Arizona Cardinals make the jOurney to face an Atlanta Falcons team that is trying to put space between them and the rest of the division. The Falcons boast one of the best offenses in the league, led by the offensive tandem of Pro Bowlers Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.
The Cards look up at the first-place Seahawks who are 7-2, the Cards can’t afford another loss, if they hope to win the division. Unfortunately, the Cards are not in the right place mentally with the recent hospitalization of their head coach Bruce Arians.
The Cards will oNCe again have to rely on running back David Johnson to shoulder the load on offense due to the iNConsistent play of QB Carson Palmer. David Johnson comes into the Game with 10 touchdowns and 863 yards rushing and has been one of the best backs in the league all season.
The Cards defense is full of pro bowlers at multiple positions, but the spotlight will be on the matchup between All-pro cornerback Patrick Peterson and Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.
Julio Jones comes into the Game with a stat stuffed sheet that showcases 1,105 yards receiving, 61 receptions and 6 TDS. These numbers are good for a season, let alone ten Games played. He looks to add to it this weekend with the help of Matt Ryan who comes into the Game with 3,204 yards passing and 24 touchdowns thrown.
The Falcons are trying to put some distaNCe between them and the Bucs who are only a Game behind the first-place Falcons. Look for the Falcons to bring their A Game and for the Falcons defense to surprise you with their tenacity.
This Game is going to come down to the Falcons playing up their ability on offense and trying to overwhelm a defense that has allowed the least amount of yards this season. The Falcons are the number one rated offense and this Game will be a classic strength vs strength battle.
