The winless Jags are hosting a Colts team that is trying to build some momentum with a healthy Andrew LUck at the helm this week.
The Jags are coming off another disappointing loss. This latest defeat for the Jags was a heartbreaker, losing the Game on a field goal that resulted from a blocked field goal of their own.
The Jags need to find some momentum this week and the only way to do that against the Colts is to keep QB Bortles upright and give him the opportunity to find the talented WR duo of Robinson and Hurns often.
The Jags WR Allen Robinson comes into the Game with 2 receiving touchdowns and hopes to keep fantasy football owners happy oNCe again. Robinson also leads the team with 16 receptions thus far.
The Jags have a young and talented defense, but have yet to stop the opposing teams when it counts most. This Game is a very winnable one for the Jags if they can keep their turnovers down and avoid crucial special teams mistakes like the previous week.
The Colts are riding momentum coming off their first win last week which saw a resurgeNCe of Colts QB Andrew LUck’s late Game heroics. The Colts will need to control the time of possession and the ageless wonder Frank Gore will hope to turn back the clock, like last week’s Game against the Chargers where he had 21 rushes and 81 yards, and one TD.
The Colts are depending on Andrew LUck to make good decisions against a young Jags defense. The Colts QB already has 913 yards passing this season and 6 TDS through the air and only 2 interceptions. The Colts have one of the fastest wide receiving corps. in the NFL, with T.Y. Hilton, Phillip Dorsett and Donte MoNCrief although MoNCrief is currently injured.
WR T.Y. Hilton already has 18 catches this season. The Jags defense is young and are sUSCeptible to the double move which is a specialty for T.Y. Hilton. Look for Andrew LUck to find Hilton often using the pump fake to exploit the young Jags defensive backs.
This is a winnable Game for the winless Jags. The Jaguars will have to be aggressive, but will have to watch how they blitz the talented Andrew LUck, Andrew LUck is great at reading defenses and finding the open man when the opposing team brings pressure.
The Jags base defense will have to get pressure on the Colts QB early and limit his time in the pocket or this will be another long day at the office. The Jags should be able to pull off the win if they can limit their mistakes. Jags +2.5
