The Packers will be taking on the NFC East leading Cowboys. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers comes into the Game with 9 touchdowns through the air and 3 interceptions. Rodgers has welcomed back his go to receiver, Jordy Nelson, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL. Jordy has racked up 5 touchdowns already and is looking to add to that total this weekend.
One of the issues facing the Packers this weekend are the injuries at running back, both LAcy and Starks are nursing injuries coming into the Game. The Packers only have one loss on the season and both teams are looking to put themselves at the top of the NFC.
The Cowboys are surprisingly winning with a rookie quarterback under center. Dak Prescott has been a great surprise for the Cowboys, he comes into the Game with 1,239 passing yards and 4 touchdowns on his resume without throwing any interceptions.
All of this is great news for Cowboys fans who have seen the often injured Romo go down time and time again and replaced with jOurney men quarterbacks. The young Cowboys QB has been great, but the true bell cow for this Cowboys team has to be another rookie, running back Ezekiel Elliot. The explosive weapon out of Ohio State has contributed to the offense on all three downs racking up 546 yards rushing with 5 touchdowns.
Prescott and Elliot have the Cowboys future looking brighter than ever, but with the unwavering support that owner Jerry Jones has shown for a frail Tony Romo, politics might be the reason the Cowboys find themselves losing when it counts most this season. Jerry’s world will have to come to the realization that Romo is the past and Prescott is the future, but his bullish attitude might find that challenging to allow the passing of the guard without his consent.
We have this one tight so we’ll gladly take the small spot with the Cowboys with an outright win not out of the question. Cowboys +4
