The Jacksonville Jaguars are failing and no end seems in sight soon. This week they travel to the first place (in the NFC North) Detroit Lions to battle a surging Lions team. The Jags have a talented young roster on paper, but it has not equaled out to many wins.
On offense, Blake Bortles flashed some talent early this season that helped warrant his high draft selection, but as the season has progressed, Blake has regressed. He comes into the Game with a lowly 52.9 QBR and 11 interceptions to 16 touchdowns thrown.
The Lions have a healthy Matthew Stafford and the league MVP candidate is playing every bit like a fraNChise QB. Stafford has kept his turnovers down this season and has only thrown 5 interceptions and has a 67.3 completion percentage with 18 touchdowns thrown. Stafford has weapons on offense like Golden Tate and new comer Marvin Jones who leads the team with a 17.9-yard average per reception.
The Lions look to iNCrease their lead in the NFC North with a conviNCing win against a badly coached Jags team.
The Jags have talent, but can’t put it together to win any Games and this one should be no different. Look for the Lions to stretch the field often and their defense to come up with some key turnovers to put this Game away early. Lions -6.5
