Bengals

vs.

Titans

Week 10

NFL Pick

11/12/17

By: Jason Green

Cincinnati Bengals (3-5 SU 3-5 ATS) vs. Tennessee Titans (5-3 SU 3-4-1 ATS)

The Bengals have lost two of their last three Games and at two Games under .500 this Game is very important. They trail the 6-2 Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North and while their defense has been pretty good on the season the same cannot be said about their offense. CiNCy ranks 28th in the league in passing yards per Game, dead last in rushing yards per Game, and 28th in ppg.

At 5 dimes sportsbook this Game has the Titans as the 4-point favorite with a total of 40.5.

The Titans have won three in a row and while those wins came against weak teams a win is a win. They are tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who they already beat this season, atop the AFC South. Their strength is running the ball and they rank a legit tied for 11th in the league in ppg.

The Bengals are 4-1 ATS in their last five Games against the Titans.

In their last Game the Bengals lost to the Jaguars 23-7 where they only had a grand total of 148 yards. On D they GAve up 408 yards and their last ranked run Game only managed 29 rushing yards. Andy Dalton passed for 136 yards with no TD and no INT and Tyler Kroft had 79 of those yards. Joe Mixon led the team with only 31 rushing yards averaging a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. Star WR A.J. Green was ejected in the loss to the Jags and he only had one catch. Dalton needs to find his big-playmaker more often in this Game.

This season the Tennessee defense ranks 18th in the league against the pass and 10th against the run.

The Titans beat the Baltimore Ravens 23-20 in their last Game for their 3rd straight win and they got the W even though they were out-GAined 341 yards to 257 yards. Their run Game struggled in the contest and they came up with two turnovers while only committing one. Marcus Mariota passed for 218 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT and Delanie Walker and Rishard Matthews combined for 141 receiving yards. Derrick Henry and DeMarco Murray both struggled on the ground in the Game combining for only 45 rushing yards and neither averaged over 3.3 yards per carry. Henry has struggled in his last two Games after racking up 131 rushing yards against the Colts and Murray has not averaged more than Four yards per carry in his last three Games and is questionable for this Game with a knee injury.

The Bengals rank a solid 5th in the league defending the pass, but only 20th defending the run and this is the Game for Henry and Murray, if he plays, to snap out of their funk.

The Bengals are 3-9-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 Games in November, and in their last 16 Games they have an Under record of 12-4.

The Titans are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 home Games, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home Games vs. a team with a losing road record, and in their last 7 Games the Over record is 5-2.

Jason’s Pick: The Bengals have only won one road Game this season and they will not add to that total this Sunday. The Titans will run the ball well and keep the Bengals’ offense struggling, as Tennessee will get the home win and cover the spread as well.
