Bengals

vs.

Browns

Week 4

NFL Pick

10/1/17

By: Jason Green

Cincinnati Bengals (0-3 SU 1-2 ATS) vs. Cleveland Browns (0-3 SU 1-2 ATS)

The Bengals and Browns are both winless and while it is no surprise Cleveland is not in the win column it is that the CiNCy is as well. The Bengals GAve the Green Bay Packers a Game in their last contest, but they could not hold onto to a big lead and they lost in OT. Cincinnati scored 24 points in the Game after only totaling nine points in their first two Games.

At 5 dimes sportsbook the Bengals are 3-point favorites with a total of 40.

The Browns had their best chance at a W in their last Game facing the winless Colts, but after a late comeback attempt Cleveland came up short. The Browns rank in the top 15 in the NFL ion total offense and total defense, but has no wins to show for it.

Last season the Bengals beat the Browns twice with each win coming by double digits.

The Bengals have covered the spread in their last five Games facing the Browns.

The Bengals had the Green Bay Packers on the ropes in their last Game, but could not hold onto the 21-7 halftime lead and they were burnt deep by Aaron Rodgers in the extra period, which set up the Game winning FG. While the Bengals had 43 fewer yards they stuffed the run, but just had no answer for Rodgers after halftime. Andy Dalton passed for 212 yards with 2 TD and 0 INT and those were his first two TD of the season. A.J. Green had 111 receiving yards and a TD and he and Dalton have to get on the same page in this Game. Joe Mixon rushing for 64 yards and overall the Bengals rushed for 110 yards in the Game.

The Browns lost to the Indianapolis Cots 31-28 in their last Game where they came up just short in the comeback after being down 28-14 at the half. They had more overall yards (346 to 335) but they had three turnovers and they really hurt. DeSean Kizer was 22 for 47 for 242 yards and while he had two TD he had 3 INT for the 2nd straight Game. Kizer also tied Isaiah Crowell for the teams lead in rushing yards and the later needs to do more in the backfield and in three Games he only has 114 yards with no TD and has failed to average Four yards per carry in any Game.

Kizer has been picked off six times in his last three Games and he faces a CiNCy pass rush that came alive in their last Game, even in the loss, with six sacks.

The Bengals are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 road Games, 10-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, and in their last 7 Games the Under record is 6-1.

The Browns are 6-22-1 ATS in their last 29 Games overall, 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home Games, and in their last 6 home Games the Under record is 6-0.

The favorite has won the last Four Games between these AFC North rivals.

Jason’s Pick: Would love to take the Browns in this Game, but can’t do it. The Bengals were a totally different team last week in the Packers loss than they were in the first two Games and they will play well in this Game. That means the Browns are in trouble and notch their first win of the season.
