Cleveland Browns

vs.

Indianapolis Colts

Week 3

NFL Pick

9/24/17

By: Jason Green

The Browns lost their first Game where they played pretty well against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they did not do in their last loss. They only scored 10 points against the Baltimore Ravens and they turned the ball over five times. Cleveland had nearly 50 more total yards in the Game and they had 293 passing yards, but coughing the rock up five times usually does not equal a win.

At 5 dimes sportsbook this Game is a pick with a total of 50.5.

Like the Browns the Colts are also 0-2 and they have not played a Game with their fraNChise QB Andrew LUck, who is out indefinitely and will not play in this Game. They are coming an OT loss to the Arizona Cardinals where they only GAve up 16 points, so there is a little bit of a silver lining there.

These teams last met in the 2014 season in Cleveland where the Colts beat the Browns 25-24.

The Browns lost their last Game to the Ravens 24-10 even though they had 386 total yards and Baltimore had 337 total yards. Turnovers killed the Browns in the Game and DeShone Kizer passed for 182 yards with no TD and 3 INT and was yanked for Kevin HoGAn, who passed for 118 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. Kizer will likely get the start in this Game and he has to avoid the turnover for Cleveland to win. They need to target Kenny Britt more, as they GAve him good money to come to Cleveland and he has a grand total of two catches for 15 yards in the two Games.

Cleveland RB Isaiah Crowell only rushed for 37 yards on 10 carries and with a rookie QB at the helm the Browns need to lean on the run Game more to take pressure off Kizer. However, Crowell and company will face a Indy run defense that only GAve up 83 yards in their last Game.

The Colts lost to the Arizona Cardinals 16-13 in their last Game where they bolted out to a 10-0 and had the lead for most of the Game, but GAve up 10 points in the 4th quarter. They only had 266 total yards in the Game while the Cardinals had 389. Jacoby Brissett was 20for 37 in his first start for the Colts and he will likely get the start in this Game. Star WR T.Y. Hilton only had 49 receiving yards and he needs to be targets more. The ageless Frank Gore rushed for 46 yards in the loss, but only averaged 3.3 yards per carry and he should get a heavy workload in this AFC eNCounter facing a Cleveland run defense that GAve up 136 yards on the ground in the loss to the Ravens.

 Key Betting Trends

The Browns are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 road Games, 1-5 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, and in their last 10 Games they have an Under record of 8-2.

The Colts are 25-8 ATS vs. a team with a losing record, 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 Games following a ATS win, and in their last 6 home Games the Under record is 6-0.

The Browns are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 Games against the Colts.

Jason’s Pick: Kizer has to be better than last week, but he will face a Indy D that played pretty well in holding the Cardinals to 16 points. Many are picking the Browns with the major issues the Colts have, but they are at home and their defense and Brissett will lead them to their first win of the season this Sunday.
