Eagles

vs.

Cowboys

Week 11

NFL Pick

11/19/17

By: Jason Green

Philadelphia Eagles (8-1 SU 7-2 ATS) vs. Dallas Cowboys (5-4 SU 5-4 ATS)

The Eagles are 8-1 and they have not only won seven in a row, but they have the best record in the NFL and many are picking them as THE team to beat this season. Philly has been legit on both ends of the ball this season and there is no sophomore slump for Carson Wentz, who is getting MVP consideration leading an Eagles’ offense that ranks 2nd in the NFL in ppg.

At 5 dimes sportsbook the Eagles are 3.5-point favorites with a total of 48.5.

The Cowboys are over .500, but all is not well for America’s team. They lost their last Game badly and star RB Ezekiel Elliot dropped his appeal of his suspension and will be out for the next several Games. His loss is a big hit for the team since they have the 2nd best run Game in the league, in terms of rushing yards per Game, while their D only ranks 17th in points allowed.

The road team is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 Games between these two bitter rivals.

Not only do the Eagles have the best record in the NFL, but they put up 51 points in their last Game AND they are coming off a bye week. They crushed the Denver Broncos 51-23 in their last Game where they held Denver to only 226 yards, totally stuffed the run, and forced two turnovers. Wentz did not have a big Game passing for 199 yards, but he had 4 TD and no picks and in his last five Games he has 17 TD and only three INT.

Philly went out and traded for RB Jay Ajayi and he rushed for 77 yards with a 46-yard run and a TD in the win over the Broncos. The Eagles will be facing a Dallas D, which has not been bad, but also does not rank in the top 11 in the NFL defending the run or pass.

The Cowboys are coming off a tough 27-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and that loss snapped their three-Game winning streak. Their oNCe dominant offensive line GAve up six sacks in the Game and overall they only had 233 total yards. Dak Prescott had 176 yards with no TD and no INT and while he has a legit WR corps and TE Jason Witten the offense will bot be the same without Elliot. He was not on the field in the last Game and thongs went bad and Alfred Morris has to take some pressure off Prescott by running the ball. He did a pretty good job in the Atlanta Game, but Dallas cannot get down early to Philly and they cannot solely on the pass.
Dallas has their work cut out for them without Elliot and this is especially the case facing an Eagles’ team that is confident, red-hot, and is 3-1 on the road this season. Tall task to say the least.

The Eagles are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 Games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road Games, and in their last 16 road Games they have an Over record of 14-2.

The Cowboys are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Games against a team with a winning record and in their last 5 Games after an ATS loss they have an Over record of 4-1.

Jason’s Pick: Have to go with the Eagles in this one, as the Cowboys D will not hold Wentz in check and without Elliot Prescott will have to do it all and that is just asking to much against the league’s hottest team.
