Redskins

vs.

Seahawks

Week 9

NFL Pick

11/5/17

By: Jason Green

Washington Redskins (3-4 SU 2-5 ATS) vs. Seattle Seahawks (5-2 SU 3-4 ATS)

The Redskins have lost three of their last Four Games and their last two where they have given up at least 33 points in each. They have the passing Game and their offense has been pretty good, but their D has been the issue only ranking 28th in the league in points against per Game. It looks as if Washington will have to rely on the Wild Card to make the playoffs, as they are one Game under. 500 and well behind the 7-1 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.

At 5 dimes sportsbook this Game has the Seahawks an 8-point favorite with a total of 45.

The Seahawks have quietly won Four in a row and they are tied atop the NFC West with the surprising L.A. Rams. Russell Wilson is coming off a HUGE Game and while the Seahawks are still led by their defense and GAve up 35 points in their first three Games in their current streak they GAve up 38 points and 509 total yards in their last Game.

While the Seahawks are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six Games facing the Skins the road team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last Four Games between these NFC East teams.

In their last Game the Redskins lost to their hated rival in the Dallas Cowboys 33-19. They had a hold of the Game and were about to take a 16-7 lead, but then Dallas blocked a field goal and almost went the distaNCe scoring a TD on the next play to take the wind out of Washington’s sails. Kirk Cousins passed for 263 yards with a TD and a pick and his main target in WR Jamison Crowder had a big Game with 123 receiving yards. Cousins had to do it all in the Game, as the Skins only had 49 rushing yards and they have to run the ball in this Game.

While the Seahawks still have the Temple of Boom and the secondary had three INT in the last Game they GAve up 367 passing yards and 142 rushing yards as well.

Seattle won a barnburner in their last Game beating the Houston Texans 41-38 where they were out-GAined in total yards and struggled to run the ball, but got some late Game heroics from Russell Wilson, who led them on a late TD drive. He passed for 452 yards with 4 TD and 1 INT with Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson each having at least 105 receiving yards. Wilson was also the lead rusher for the Seahawks with 30 yards on the ground while no other player had more than six rushing yards.

The Seahawks are a perfect 3-0 at home this season while the Redskins are only 1-2 away from the Nation’s Capital.

The Redskins are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 road Games, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Games overall, and in their last 26 road Games the Over record is 19-7.

The Seahawks are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 Games following a ATS loss, -1 ATS in their last 6 Games in November, and in their last 4 Games facing teams from the NFC the Under record is 4-0.

Jason’s Pick: The Skins have failed to cover in their last Four Games and they have lost two in a row, but they are still the pick in this Game. Cousins will let it fly in this Game and he will have a big one and while Washington may not win they will cover the spread.
