Opening Week College Football Pointspreads - We have posted the pointspreads for the opening week of college football 2009. The pointspreads posted below are for games to be played on September 5, however keep in mind the season starts on September 3rd. On the 3rd, NC State is a -3.5 favorite over South Carolina, Utah is -21 over Utah State and Boise is -5.5 over Oregon. But don't get too excited. While opening week for college football is in our sights, there aren't a whole lot of marquee match-ups.

Fake Punt Helps Titans Cover the Spread - Did you realize preseason NFL started last night? If not, than you no doubt missed the beautiful fake punt pulled off by the Tennessee Titans and their kicker AJ Trapasso. The fake punt was pulled off early in the 1st quarter with Trapasso taking off for a 40 yard touchdown run. A touchdown that would help the Titans cover the spread on the game.

Odds Favor Arizona Cardinals to Win NFC West - If this were any other division, I'd say the Cardinals would have their work cut out for them. Any Super Bowl team, winner or loser, starts the next season with a big fat bulls eye on their backs. They'll get every other teams best shot. Chargers are 3 to 1 Favorites to Win the AFC West - NFL Divisional Previews - It's hardly a stretch to pick the Chargers to win the AFC West. Where's their competition within the division? Perhaps the Broncos? A team that lost it's long time coach in Mike Shanahan and has Kyle Orton and Chris Simms competing for the QB job! Certainly the Raiders and the Chiefs have a ways to go although hey, in the NFL anything can happen from year to year.

2009-2010 AFC East Preview - Bworld Picks the Bills! - NFL Divisional Previews - Betting on the Patriots to win the AFC East can only be classified as insane. Not because we don't think they can. The Patriots are solid on both sides of the ball and have one of the best QB's in history at the helm. But at odds of -600, or laying 6/1, you simply have to look elsewhere or not bet at all. It's simply not a smart bet at those odds. The Bills or the Jets present much more value as you're getting +800 or 8/1 odds.

Boise State Again the Team to Beat in WAC - In the WAC conference for football, it's pretty much Boise State and then the rest. After all, Boise State is 54-2 in Western Athletic Conference play since 2002. But this year could be different. There may be a surprise or two in 2009. Why? Odds Favor USC to Win the PAC-10 - Let's face it folks, when picking a PAC 10 Champion, there's not much point in going out on a limb. The USC Trojans have won 8 straight PAC 10 titles and the odds favor them to do it again. This year will likely be 9 straight. They are simply the most talented team in the PAC 10 and one of the most talented in the entire country. The UFL - The United Football League - Does Anyone care? - Need even MORE football games to bet on in the fall? Well, you got em. The United Football League kicks off it's inaugural season in October and where there's football you can be sure there will be odds posted on their games. It looks like the UFL will start with just 4 teams and then will add a couple more the following year. Currently there will be teams in Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and San Francisco.
