BET WITH YOUR HEAD -
NOT YOUR HEART-
Football and Thanksgiving go together like
Santa and Christmas. This week, over turkey
with all the trimmings, discussions at
dinner tables across the Nation will tell
which team the public wants to bet. However,
if you want avoid the gambling equivalent of
indigestion, there are some key points to
understand when sports books talk about
“public money”.

BEARS AT PATRIOTS
PREVIEW
- The NFL game of the week goes
down on the East coast when Chicago travels
to New England to take on the Patriots. The
Bears come in at 9-1 after back-to-back wins
in the Meadowlands over the Giants and Jets.
New England routed the Packers on the road
to makeup for two straight losses the
previous weeks.

NOTRE DAME VISITS USC -
After a wonderful Michigan/Ohio State game,
this week the BCS picture becomes even
clearer when Notre Dame travels to Los
Angeles to play USC. Both come in with one
loss and still have aspirations to play Ohio
State in the National Championship. The
Irish are 4-0 away from South Bend while USC
is undefeated in the Coliseum.

GIANTS-JAGS TRENDS -
THE ROYAL POST-
New York came into last week's game against
the Bears missing five starters. The lack of
depth eventually caught up to the Giants, as
they blew a 10-point lead and lost 38-20.
Making matters worse, New York also saw CB
Sam Madison (hamstring) and T Luke Petitgout
(broken leg) go down, while star RB Tiki
Barber suffered an injured finger.

THE PROPHET PREVIEWS
UFC 65 - BAD INTENTIONS -
Two winners with our UFC selections on
Travis Lutter and Matt Serra at the
"Ultimate Fighter Finale" last week, and
we'll try to keep the winning streak going
as the promotion holds a PPV event--"UFC 65:
Bad Intentions" at Sacramento's Arco Arena.
Aside from the fact that they stole Jermain
Taylor's "Bad Intentions" nickname for this
event, on paper it looks to be an excellent
night of fighting with two very intriguing
championship matches at the top of the card.

BCS CHAMPIONSHIP
SCENARIOS
- It’s a no-brainer that
Pinnacle Sports betting will be offering
odds on the BCS using a -105 style pricing
model that offers bettors up to 50% better
value than other sportsbooks. It’s also a
no-brainer that the winner of the #2

MICHIGAN VS OHIO STATE
PREVIEW
- Let’s see, of all the games

to call the greatest rivalry in sports: Ohio
State vs. Michigan. One of the two BCS title
births is on the line when the No. 1
Buckeyes hosts the No. 2 Wolverines.

WISCONSIN TAKES CENTER
STAGE - SATURDAY KEY RELEASES
-
this game for us boils down to simple
fundamentals. This game is football in it's
purest sense. Simple, smash mouth, football.
Pound the ball, pound the ball, and then
pound the ball some more. This Wisconsin
team fields one of the better defenses in
the country. They are only giving up 11.9
points per game and 246 rushing yards per
game.

KEY RELEASE FOR
THURSDAY RUTGERS/LOUISVILLE
-
There are still some lingering doubts about
this Rutgers team, and rightly so. Let's
face it, they have played a soft schedule. A
good analogy would be the way Heavyweight
fighter prospects are brought along. Their
records are padded with cupcakes until they
compile a nice 20-0 mark which looks good on
paper....

BETTING ALTERNATE NFL
LINES
- Armed with reduced juice, smart
bettors are in a position take on the
familiar NFL offerings, but smaller markets
like NFL Alternate Spreads and NCAA Div-IAA
sides, can be even easier to pillage with
low vig. While the wise guys are pounding
bigger markets into shape, these less-played
promotions remain less efficient, and are
ideal prey for smaller players.

|
CALVIN BROCK VS WLADIMIR
KLITSCHKO -
Klitschko has done a decent job rebuilding
his career under the tutelage of legendary
trainer Emmanuel Steward, and has now won
four straight fights en route to his matchup
with Brewster. He dominated a once talented
defensive fighter in Chris Byrd last time
out, decisioned powerful but limited Sam
Peter before that.

BEARS AT GIANTS
PREVIEW
- One of more anticipated match-ups
in the NFL will be seen Sunday night on NBC
when Chicago visits the Giants in a battle
of the NFC elite. Granted if the Bears were
still perfect the game would be that much
better. But after both teams struggled last
week, neither wants to come out again and
put up a lackluster effort

HUGE ACC battle here between two 7-1 teams.

monumental game for the Wake Forest

THIS WEEKS PINNACLE
PULSE!
- What we are seeing at Pinnacle
Sportsbetting is that much of the betting on
NFL futures is still a reflection of
players’ perceptions of teams before the
season began. If you can divorce yourself
from this mindset and evaluate teams solely
on the basis of this year’s play, that
objectivity can give you an edge over many
other players, whose judgment of futures is
clouded.

LSU-TENNESSEE PREVIEW-
Another match-up of SEC powers goes down
this Saturday in Neyland Stadium when the
LSU Tigers visit one loss Tennessee. The
Tigers come in at 6-2 and need to run the
table and get help to have any shot at the
SEC championship game. At 2-2 in the
conference LSU trails first place Arkansas
by two games and Auburn by essentially two
because of their head-to-head loss. On the
other hand Tennessee needs a Florida loss
and no more losses for them to win the East
division.

COLTS - PATS PREVIEW
- This Sunday night one of the best
rivalries in the NFL is renewed when Indy
travels on the road to face Tom Brady and
the Patriots. Both teams are coming off
their best wins of the year. The Colts come
in after a thrilling win against Denver.
Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne connected
three times for touchdowns as they torched
what seemed to be an immovable Bronco
defense.

FRIDAY NIGHT KEY
RELEASE UTEP/TULSA
- Both teams play an
incredibly soft schedule. I mean, heck,
we're talking about Conference USA here.
Tulsa's record of 6-1 sure does look good on
paper, as does their defense giving up 14,
10 and 6 in their last 3 games. But two of
those games were against 1-6 Memphis and 3-4
East Carolina. If you look at their
schedule, their most impressive win was the
20-6 win over Southern Miss

GEORGIA
- Tenth-ranked Georgia (5-0 SU & 2-2
ATS) hopes to have Joe Tereshinski back on
the field when it hosts No. 13 Tennessee
(4-1 SU & ATS) on Saturday night at Sanford

SPORTS HANDICAPPING
SERVICES
- If you're betting $100 per game
while paying a consultant $25 per play for
advice, there's no chance to win at season's
end. The handicapper does not share the
risk, even if he only charges for winning
plays. Consequently, it's hard to justify
spending more than 1-2% of each bet on
consulting.

COWBOYS VS EAGLES
PREVIEW
- Both teams have identical ATS
records to their records W/L wise. That is
not the only stat that is practically a
mirror image between the two teams. Dallas
is scoring 29.7 points per game, the Eagles
scoring 29.2. Similarly, Philly is conceding
18 points a game on defense while the
Cowboys are giving up 16 a contest. Dallas
comes in 2-0-1 O/U with the Eagles 2-2 in
totals.

FAVORITES COVERING IN
THE NFL-
Until recently, sharp players routinely
turned a profit using very little
handicapping and simply playing underdogs.
Blindly betting every home dog of +7.5 or
more during NFL season became a staple that
regularly cashed at the window. Then this
traditional handicapping technique stopped
working to the point that these “bread and
butter” plays no longer brought home the
bacon

HALFTIME BETTING
- Halftime odds offer you the ability
to get a fresh line and follow it until it
comes off the board. Without going into
another article about line movement,
watching a normal line through its lifespan
is something that can take anywhere from
half of the day to a week. A 2nd half bettor
watching multiple books is able to get a
great feel on which way the line is headed

THE BLACK CAT NFL
PREDICTIONS
-
Green Bay +2.5 New Orleans I felt there was
value here in what is a pick 'em game. But
as I was working on week #3, I remembered
something kind of important: the Dome is
Opening! This game, sandwiched between an
opening win and the re-opening of the New
Orleans franchise, means NOTHING to the
Saints. To the embarrassed Packers, they got
their ears pinned back. Who wants to win
this game? Obviously, the Packers do, so I
got value AND motivation in my corner, and
another week #2 win on the spread. MORE

GIANTS VS EAGLES
-OHIO
ST VS CINCI The N.Y.
Giants enter Philly coming off a SU & ATS
loss to the Colts, but hope to retake the
cash on Sunday against the Eagles. The
Eagles posted a cover win last week, which
may bode well for New York considering the
Giants are 7-3-1 ATS vs. a team with a
winning record.

PUBLIC BETTING
FAVORITES THIS WEEK-
The Cleveland Browns square off with the 10
½ point favorite Cincinnati Bengals in their
first of two slugfests over bragging rights
for the state of Ohio. These two teams hate
each other and expect the Browns to play
their best on the road in Cincinnati.
However, 88% of the SPORTSBETTING.COM
players believe that Carson Palmer and
company will not let up and stick it to the
lowly Browns.

WILL THESE DOGS BARK
SATURDAY?
-
What three things do the football programs
at Nebraska, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, and
Miami (FL) have in common? All of the
universities have won national championships
in the past 10 years and all are underdogs
by 3 points or more this weekend. So if you
like to bet on proven programs, this is your
week to take the underdogs.

IOWA STATE - TENNESSEE
- LSU - KEY RELEASES
-
We're going to excuse the Vols for looking
terrible last week and almost losing to Air
Force at home. Chalk it up to looking ahead
to Florida and coming down from the high of
their opening week upset win over Cal, our
first 5* winner here on the Key release
page. We think the Vol team that beat Cal
will be the team we see on Saturday.

CARIB SPORTSBOOK
-
We welcome back Carib to Bettorsworld! Carib
Sportsbook opened up in 1993. Back then,
they were telephone only. When the internet
took hold in 1995, they had a website, but
just as a billboard. All wagers were still
over the phone. But not long after that,
they became one of the original "online"
sportsbooks and were among the first to
accept wagers via the internet.

NFL AND COLLEGE
FOOTBALL WEEK ONE RECAP
-
The #1 Ohio State Buckeyes flexed their
muscles in Austin, Texas Saturday against
the Longhorns with a 24-7 victory. Despite
being the highest ranked team in the nation
the Buckeyes entered the game as a 3 point
underdog. But Ohio State investors got the
SU win and cover, as the scarlet and gray
went to 2-0 SU and ATS.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
OVER 8.5 WINS
-
The NFC is much more improved than in recent
years, and if the Philadelphia Eagles are
going to top last year's win/loss record
they'll need to get stronger in several
areas. Last year, the Eagles struggled on
offense and weren't able to effectively
distribute the ball. Correcting the team's
chemistry and finding a replacement for
Terrell Owens is going to be crucial.

NCAA GAME OF THE WEEK
- CAL @ TENN
-
This is the game that jumps out at us (and
just about everyone else) this first week of
College football. It's got all the drama and
intrigue that we all love about college
football. This game is HUGE for both squads.
You've got the Vols coming off a major
disappointing season at 5-6 which is totally
unacceptable at Tennessee. Prior to last
year the Vols hadn't had a losing season
since 1988.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL
TRENDS - Successful
handicappers are usually ahead of trends,

ones as it is good ones, especially in
advance, when betting on college football.

CHIEFS -3.5 OVER RAMS
-
Ultimately we would like to find an underdog
in a spot like this, making it worthwhile of
an investment. But in this game, it looks
like the cat is out of the bag as far as
playing a team yet to win. Here, the Chiefs
have probably been the WORST team in the pre
season. They have only scored 14 points,
worst in the NFL and have given up 41. The
Chiefs look terrible! Yet, they are a 3.5
point fav.

WEEK 3 NFL PRE SEASON
PICKS
-
Here we are into week three already of the
preseason. I have always been a believer in
that week three is as close to a regular
season game as you will get during these
pretend games. I really think that is
something to consider. Next week nobody is
going to play. I won’t even take anybody in
the final week of preseason, it is a 100%
guessing game that week.

HOW SHARPS BET THE NFL
PRE SEASON -
Debating the merits of betting on preseason
NFL, I'm often asked about the logic of
betting games when the starters spend most
of their time on the sideline. While many
professional players avoid preseason
football, a substantial number of sharps at
Pinnacle Sports betting still have action,
despite this concern and do so for one
reason - profit.

5:1 to win the NFC Championship, and 4:6 to

COLLEGE FOOTBALL LINES-There
has already been some movement on the
college football openers. Northwestern
opened pick at
CRIS and is now -3. South Carolina went

on Akron. Apparently bettors don't think
Paterno can pull a rabbit out of the hat
again this year. We here at Bettorsworld
disagree. We think the Penn State side is

WSEX SPORTSBOOK REVIEW
- We really don't have the space
necessary to do World Sports Exchange
justice. Because, we could literally write a
book about WSEX. World Sports Exchange IS
offshore sportsbetting. They define the
term. They were here before just about
everyone. Back in the mid 1990's, when
Bettorsworld got it's start, there were only
a handful of offshore sportsbooks and only a
couple of them were actually set up to take
wagers online. WSEX was one of those books.

AFC WEST PREVIEW-
Raiders Coach Shell was the right man to
take over the 4-12 Raiders for a number of
reasons. One, he will provide discipline
that this team desperately needs. Two, he
was a successful head coach with the Raiders
from 1989-1994. Shell went 54-38 in that
span and it was disgraceful that it took him
so long to receive another head job. Shell
was also a Hall of Fame player with the
Raiders. That earns him a lot of respect in
the locker room and with Owner Al Davis.

WAC COLLEGE FOOTBALL
PREVIEW-
The poor man’s Pac-10, the WAC is known for
highly explosive offenses and porous
defensive efforts. Among the conference’s
best are Nevada, Boise State, Fresno State,
and Hawaii and will all vie for the league’s
top spot. The Broncos of Boise State have
long dominated the conference and won at
least a share of the title since 2002, but
after Nevada rose up and grabbed that shared
piece, a new titleholder could reign in ’06.

elite programs. Florida, Auburn, LSU,
Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, and
Tennessee will all be bowl teams and almost
anyone of these teams could make a run at
the conference’s BCS birth.

PAC 10 FOOTBALL
PREVIEW
- If there was ever a chance to surpass a
vulnerable Southern Cal team, 2006 is the
year. No more Reggie Bush. No more Matt
Leinart. No more conference dominance? After
the loss of its back-to-back Heisman winners
and 12 position starters, USC and Pete
Carroll will have their work cut out for
them if they want to be the first Pac-10
team to win at least a share of five
consecutive Pac-10 titles.

AFC NORTH PREVIEW
- Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger
looks like he will be ready for opening day
even after his horrific motorcycle accident.
The question is, will he stand up in the
pocket against the pass rush or will he be a
little gun shy about getting hit?
Roethlisberger’s favorite receiving target
is back in Hines Ward, but Antwaan Randle-El
has gone to Washington and the team needs
rookie Santonio Holmes to take on some of
that production. Problem is, Holmes has
already been arrested twice since the draft
and he is looking like a major head case.

SPORTSBOOK RATINGS |
|
Get your sportsbook information from
someone who makes their living betting with
these shops. Don't rely on a site run by some
college kid or $50 bettor! More importantly,
don't get your information from someone who
takes kick backs for sending customers to books
as other ratings authors do. |
|
The rating expressed in a percentage
is our confidence level in the book. The sharp
action is whether they are sharp player
friendly. |

Some books left off intentionally. For
