BET WITH YOUR HEAD - NOT YOUR HEART- Football and Thanksgiving go together like Santa and Christmas. This week, over turkey with all the trimmings, discussions at dinner tables across the Nation will tell which team the public wants to bet. However, if you want avoid the gambling equivalent of indigestion, there are some key points to understand when sports books talk about “public money”.

NOVEMBER 21, 2006

BEARS AT PATRIOTS PREVIEW -  The NFL game of the week goes down on the East coast when Chicago travels to New England to take on the Patriots. The Bears come in at 9-1 after back-to-back wins in the Meadowlands over the Giants and Jets. New England routed the Packers on the road to makeup for two straight losses the previous weeks.

NOTRE DAME VISITS USC - After a wonderful Michigan/Ohio State game, this week the BCS picture becomes even clearer when Notre Dame travels to Los Angeles to play USC. Both come in with one loss and still have aspirations to play Ohio State in the National Championship. The Irish are 4-0 away from South Bend while USC is undefeated in the Coliseum.

November 20, 2006

GIANTS-JAGS TRENDS - THE ROYAL POST- New York came into last week's game against the Bears missing five starters. The lack of depth eventually caught up to the Giants, as they blew a 10-point lead and lost 38-20. Making matters worse, New York also saw CB Sam Madison (hamstring) and T Luke Petitgout (broken leg) go down, while star RB Tiki Barber suffered an injured finger.

THE PROPHET PREVIEWS UFC 65 - BAD INTENTIONS - Two winners with our UFC selections on Travis Lutter and Matt Serra at the "Ultimate Fighter Finale" last week, and we'll try to keep the winning streak going as the promotion holds a PPV event--"UFC 65: Bad Intentions" at Sacramento's Arco Arena.  Aside from the fact that they stole Jermain Taylor's "Bad Intentions" nickname for this event, on paper it looks to be an excellent night of fighting with two very intriguing championship matches at the top of the card.

BCS CHAMPIONSHIP SCENARIOS -  It’s a no-brainer that Pinnacle Sports betting will be offering odds on the BCS using a -105 style pricing model that offers bettors up to 50% better value than other sportsbooks. It’s also a no-brainer that the winner of the #2 Michigan - #1 Ohio State match-up will play in the BCS National Championship Game on January 8th.

MICHIGAN VS OHIO STATE PREVIEW -  Let’s see, of all the games to preview…how about a little game we like to call the greatest rivalry in sports: Ohio State vs. Michigan. One of the two BCS title births is on the line when the No. 1 Buckeyes hosts the No. 2 Wolverines.

CAN THE COWBOYS KNOCK OFF THE COLTS? - With a shot to improve to 10-0 and extend their chance at perfection for at least another week, the Indianapolis Colts travel to the Lone Star State to face the Dallas Cowboys. Indy is 9-0 for the second straight year while the ‘Boys have been up and down, currently one game over .500 at 5-4.

November 11, 2006

WISCONSIN TAKES CENTER STAGE - SATURDAY KEY RELEASES - this game for us boils down to simple fundamentals. This game is football in it's purest sense. Simple, smash mouth, football. Pound the ball, pound the ball, and then pound the ball some more. This Wisconsin team fields one of the better defenses in the country. They are only giving up 11.9 points per game and 246 rushing yards per game.

November 9, 2006

KEY RELEASE FOR THURSDAY RUTGERS/LOUISVILLE - There are still some lingering doubts about this Rutgers team, and rightly so. Let's face it, they have played a soft schedule. A good analogy would be the way Heavyweight fighter prospects are brought along. Their records are padded with cupcakes until they compile a nice 20-0 mark which looks good on paper....

November 8, 2006

BETTING ALTERNATE NFL LINES  - Armed with reduced juice, smart bettors are in a position take on the familiar NFL offerings, but smaller markets like NFL Alternate Spreads and NCAA Div-IAA sides, can be even easier to pillage with low vig. While the wise guys are pounding bigger markets into shape, these less-played promotions remain less efficient, and are ideal prey for smaller players.

CALVIN BROCK VS WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO  - Klitschko has done a decent job rebuilding his career under the tutelage of legendary trainer Emmanuel Steward, and has now won four straight fights en route to his matchup with Brewster. He dominated a once talented defensive fighter in Chris Byrd last time out, decisioned powerful but limited Sam Peter before that.

BEARS AT GIANTS PREVIEW  - One of more anticipated match-ups in the NFL will be seen Sunday night on NBC when Chicago visits the Giants in a battle of the NFC elite. Granted if the Bears were still perfect the game would be that much better. But after both teams struggled last week, neither wants to come out again and put up a lackluster effort

OREGON VISITS USC  - One of the premier Pac-10 games goes down this Saturday night when USC hosts Oregon with the chance to eliminate the other from any shot at the conference crown. Southern Cal has its first loss of the year but rebounded with a 42-0 win in Stanford to ease their nerves

November 7, 2006

THE PROPHET HANDICAPS THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER FINALE - The 4th season of SPIKE TV's "The Ultimate Fighter" TV series culminates on November 11th with two matches to be held at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. Pinnacle has posted lines on this event, and this is how I see it transpiring.....more inside!

November 4, 2006

RAIDERS - SEAHAWKS CLASH ON MONDAY NIGHT - The Oakland Raiders have gone from being written off as a team that might rival the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers as one of the worst of all time to a team that is riding a two-game winning streak, including an upset of the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers last week.

November 3, 2006

WAKE FOREST TOPS THIS WEEKS KEY RELEASE SHEET  - HUGE ACC battle here between two 7-1 teams. The only thing out of whack here is the fact that Wake Forest is one of those teams! Boston College has had it's share of success and big game exposure over the years, while Wake Forest hasn't. So this amounts to a monumental game for the Wake Forest

THE ROYAL POST - BREEDERS CUP EDITION- This weekend is a beauty for gamers abroad. There's now regular season NBA, NHL, NCAA football, NFL, Breeders' Cup World Championship and much more. In this edition of The Royal Post we take a look at Bernardini, who's the favorite in the Classic, also the big SEC matchup between LSU and Tennessee.

You can count on some huge winning weeks in the very near future from this crew! Still looking for that first 5-0 week!!

November 2, 2006

THIS WEEKS PINNACLE PULSE!  - What we are seeing at Pinnacle Sportsbetting is that much of the betting on NFL futures is still a reflection of players’ perceptions of teams before the season began. If you can divorce yourself from this mindset and evaluate teams solely on the basis of this year’s play, that objectivity can give you an edge over many other players, whose judgment of futures is clouded.

LSU-TENNESSEE PREVIEW- Another match-up of SEC powers goes down this Saturday in Neyland Stadium when the LSU Tigers visit one loss Tennessee. The Tigers come in at 6-2 and need to run the table and get help to have any shot at the SEC championship game. At 2-2 in the conference LSU trails first place Arkansas by two games and Auburn by essentially two because of their head-to-head loss. On the other hand Tennessee needs a Florida loss and no more losses for them to win the East division.

COLTS - PATS PREVIEW - This Sunday night one of the best rivalries in the NFL is renewed when Indy travels on the road to face Tom Brady and the Patriots. Both teams are coming off their best wins of the year. The Colts come in after a thrilling win against Denver. Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne connected three times for touchdowns as they torched what seemed to be an immovable Bronco defense.

LIVE ODDS FEEDS - WHO NEEDS EM?? - You have heard all the hype about steam games and live odds services all over the net. But is a live odds feed really necessary? Well, there is no one simple answer to that question. It all depends on the type of player you are. We will cover who needs a live odds feed and who doesn't below, but first let's talk about the live lines feeds available to today's bettors.

GEORGIA-FLORIDA PREVIEW- The match-up formally known as the ‘World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party’ takes center stage in the SEC this weekend. The 6-1 Gators face a Georgia team that has dropped two of its last three and fallen out of the top 25. Despite being ranked in the top ten, Florida has only covered three of their seven spreads this season.

PATRIOTS-VIKINGS MNF CLASH - Another superb Monday Night Football match-up is slated for the last Monday in October. The Patriots visit Minnesota and face an improving Vikings club. New England has won three in a row while the Vikings are coming off its big time road win against Seattle.

October 25, 2006

DR BOB SPORTS MOVING COLLEGE FOOTBALL LINES - An alarming pattern has started this year in college football. Every Thursday afternoon (around 1 p.m. EST), there's been a flurry of action on a limited number of games. The enormous amounts of money pouring in during this "witching hour" are causing massive line movements - in some cases, we're seeing a 4-point move

October 24, 2006

FRIDAY NIGHT KEY RELEASE UTEP/TULSA - Both teams play an incredibly soft schedule. I mean, heck, we're talking about Conference USA here. Tulsa's record of 6-1 sure does look good on paper, as does their defense giving up 14, 10 and 6 in their last 3 games. But two of those games were against 1-6 Memphis and 3-4 East Carolina. If you look at their schedule, their most impressive win was the 20-6 win over Southern Miss

October 20, 2006

TEXAS VS NEBRASKA - NFL FOOTBALL PLUS THE WORLD SERIES - This weekend, bettors will be treated to great action across the board with NCAA football, NFL and of course the World Series. This edition of The Royal Post again covers it all, as we continue to provide sports betting enthusiasts with stellar gaming information in efforts of putting our clients at the ticket window to cash.

October 19, 2006

NEBRASKA TOPS THIS WEEKS KEY RELEASE SHEET! -  We've stated several times here on these pages how Nebraska is returning to prominence after a few down years while the team implemented a new offensive scheme under coach Callahan. What better way to say "We're back!" than a win over last years National Champs?

BETROYAL PAYS OUT PARLAYS EVEN WHEN YOU LOSE!!!! - BetRoyal has always prided itself in going the extra mile to ensure customers have more reasons to play at BetRoyal,” said odds specialist, Peter Moss of “As previously promised, this year BetRoyal is coming back bigger and better than ever. Our new Parlay Consolation Payout is not new to the sportsbook industry, but no one has ever incorporated two losers into the mix.

October 18, 2006

GEORGIA TECH AT CLEMSON PREVIEW  - Two of the better ACC programs lead their respective conferences in the game of the week on Saturday. And no, Miami and Florida State are not either one of them. Georgia Tech and Clemson are each in first place and face off Saturday night on the national spotlight. The Tigers come in ranked 12th in the nation and the Yellow Jackets one spot behind them in 13th.

LUCK AND SPORTSBETTING PLUS SHARP PLAYS FOR THE WEEK!- If the past two Monday nights are any indication, next week’s NFC East showdown between New York and Dallas should be a dandy. Two weeks ago Baltimore and Denver played to a defensive struggle. This past Monday Chicago stunned Arizona with three non-offensive touchdowns in the second half to win, 24-23.

GIANTS-COWBOYS PREVIEW - If the past two Monday nights are any indication, next week’s NFC East showdown between New York and Dallas should be a dandy. Two weeks ago Baltimore and Denver played to a defensive struggle. This past Monday Chicago stunned Arizona with three non-offensive touchdowns in the second half to win, 24-23.

RUTGERS +3 TOPS THIS WEEKS KEY RELEASE SHEET  - What can we say? We're going to ride this wave of momentum with a Rutgers team that is off to it's best start in 30 years. Both of these teams returned the bulk of their starters from a year ago, a year which saw Rutgers defeat Navy by 10 in New Jersey. No big write up for this one.

**NEW COLLEGE LAST MAN STANDING CONTEST**   - The first college LMS contest came to an end after only 5 weeks as everyone taped out early! we go again. A new one starts this week!!!

During football season, fantasy owners spend hours each week examining player statistics, evaluating their fantasy football teams and contemplating trades.

October 10, 2006

FLORIDA VS AUBURN  - Last weekend Florida disposed of SEC rival LSU. This week another stiff test is slated on the SEC schedule, this time on the road. The No. 2 Gators will travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium and take on newly one-loss Auburn and look to continue the impossible: run the table in SEC play.

EAGLES VS SAINTS  - Both coming off big home wins, Philadelphia and New Orleans come into week six’s match-up at 4-1. The Eagles held off a late rally by Dallas while Reggie Bush had the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter, his first pro score.

October 6, 2006

BOWMANS NEW HOCKEY CONTEST  - Easy to enter and to play, this game involves players picking the teams they think will win the 10 NHL games, which are posted by every Wednesday from the weekend’s schedule. That’s it – no lines, no point spreads, it’s just a case of ‘pick’em to win’.

TENNESSEE TAKES ON GEORGIA  - Tenth-ranked Georgia (5-0 SU & 2-2 ATS) hopes to have Joe Tereshinski back on the field when it hosts No. 13 Tennessee (4-1 SU & ATS) on Saturday night at Sanford Stadium. Georgia's defense has been outstanding so far this season, but the Bulldogs may need improved offense to defeat their first ranked opponent. They hope the return of their starting QB will give them the lift they need.

LSU VISITS THE SWAMP!  - It is a battle of the quarterbacks in the SEC Saturday afternoon as the 4-1 LSU Tigers take on the 5-0 Florida Gators at the Swamp. LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell had perhaps the worst game of his career two years ago when he threw two interceptions before Marcus Randall rallied the Vols to a win

October 4, 2006

SPORTS HANDICAPPING SERVICES  - If you're betting $100 per game while paying a consultant $25 per play for advice, there's no chance to win at season's end. The handicapper does not share the risk, even if he only charges for winning plays. Consequently, it's hard to justify spending more than 1-2% of each bet on consulting.

COWBOYS VS EAGLES PREVIEW  - Both teams have identical ATS records to their records W/L wise. That is not the only stat that is practically a mirror image between the two teams. Dallas is scoring 29.7 points per game, the Eagles scoring 29.2. Similarly, Philly is conceding 18 points a game on defense while the Cowboys are giving up 16 a contest. Dallas comes in 2-0-1 O/U with the Eagles 2-2 in totals.

September 28, 2006

SEAHAWKS AT BEARS AND PATS AT BENGALS - Are the Chicago Bears good enough to be called Super Bowl contenders or are they just good enough to get by? That question may be answered Sunday night as the Bears host the defending NFC Champion and currently unbeaten Seattle Seahawks.

OHIO STATE AT IOWA - #1 Ohio State (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) is the team to beat in both the Big Ten and the nation, outscoring their first four opponents 124-32 and receiving 59 of 65 first-place votes in this week's Top 25. The last time Ohio State went into Iowa City though, it suffered its most lopsided defeat under head coach Jim Tressel.

FAVORITES COVERING IN THE NFL- Until recently, sharp players routinely turned a profit using very little handicapping and simply playing underdogs. Blindly betting every home dog of +7.5 or more during NFL season became a staple that regularly cashed at the window. Then this traditional handicapping technique stopped working to the point that these “bread and butter” plays no longer brought home the bacon

September 25, 2006

MONDAY NIGHT IS FOR THE SAINTS - When you took a look at the schedule before the year started, the big attraction to this game was the fact that the Saints would be returning to the Superdome for the first time since Katrina. But look what we have here! A game between two teams that are 2-0 and tied for first in the NFC South.

September 22, 2006

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL PREVIEW - New England and Denver last met on Jan. 14 in an AFC divisional playoff game at Denver. The Patriots out-gained the Broncos 420-286 in that game, but also turned the ball over five times. New England looks for a better effort and tries to remain unbeaten when they host the Broncos on Sunday night.

HILTON CONTEST PICKS- The Hilton team if off to a 6-4 start but is seeking that elusive 5-0 week that will seperate them from the pack. Is this the week? Check out this weeks plays inside!

OHIO STATE SEEKS REVENGE  - Two weeks after winning a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown in Austin, the top-ranked Buckeyes (3-0 SU & ATS) look to win the matchup of last year's Big Ten co-champions as they open conference play against No. 24 Penn State on Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

September 20, 2006

BET OVERNIGHT LINES - GAIN AN EDGE  - Professional players dedicate many hours each week shopping for the best price, and will often spend more time in this endeavor than handicapping. Given that the sharps are betting high limits each week, this is time well spent even if it adds only 1% to the bottom line. But how can the average player making $100 bets get the best price without turning odds checking into a full-time job?

September 16, 2006

THE BLACK CAT NFL PREDICTIONS - Green Bay +2.5 New Orleans I felt there was value here in what is a pick 'em game. But as I was working on week #3, I remembered something kind of important: the Dome is Opening! This game, sandwiched between an opening win and the re-opening of the New Orleans franchise, means NOTHING to the Saints. To the embarrassed Packers, they got their ears pinned back. Who wants to win this game? Obviously, the Packers do, so I got value AND motivation in my corner, and another week #2 win on the spread. MORE FREE NFL PICKS INSIDE

GIANTS VS EAGLES -OHIO ST VS CINCI The N.Y. Giants enter Philly coming off a SU & ATS loss to the Colts, but hope to retake the cash on Sunday against the Eagles. The Eagles posted a cover win last week, which may bode well for New York considering the Giants are 7-3-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

PUBLIC BETTING FAVORITES THIS WEEK- The Cleveland Browns square off with the 10 point favorite Cincinnati Bengals in their first of two slugfests over bragging rights for the state of Ohio. These two teams hate each other and expect the Browns to play their best on the road in Cincinnati. However, 88% of the SPORTSBETTING.COM players believe that Carson Palmer and company will not let up and stick it to the lowly Browns.

September 15, 2006

WILL THESE DOGS BARK SATURDAY? - What three things do the football programs at Nebraska, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Miami (FL) have in common? All of the universities have won national championships in the past 10 years and all are underdogs by 3 points or more this weekend. So if you like to bet on proven programs, this is your week to take the underdogs.

IOWA STATE - TENNESSEE - LSU - KEY RELEASES - We're going to excuse the Vols for looking terrible last week and almost losing to Air Force at home. Chalk it up to looking ahead to Florida and coming down from the high of their opening week upset win over Cal, our first 5* winner here on the Key release page. We think the Vol team that beat Cal will be the team we see on Saturday.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES OVER 8.5 WINS  - The NFC is much more improved than in recent years, and if the Philadelphia Eagles are going to top last year's win/loss record they'll need to get stronger in several areas. Last year, the Eagles struggled on offense and weren't able to effectively distribute the ball. Correcting the team's chemistry and finding a replacement for Terrell Owens is going to be crucial.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME OF THE WEEK CONTEST  - STARTS THIS WEEK!! Don't get shut out of this great contest. You only need to pick ONE game per week. This is one of the most popular contests on Bettorsworld each year. Simply register and enter your play in the contest thread! Make sure you read the rules!

NCAA GAME OF THE WEEK - CAL @ TENN - This is the game that jumps out at us (and just about everyone else) this first week of College football. It's got all the drama and intrigue that we all love about college football. This game is HUGE for both squads. You've got the Vols coming off a major disappointing season at 5-6 which is totally unacceptable at Tennessee. Prior to last year the Vols hadn't had a losing season since 1988.

KEY RELEASES FOR WEEK ONE  - Let's get ready to ruuuuumbleeeeee! Ok, so we're a little excited about the start of football season. For those of you new to the key releases, here's a rundown of what to expect. Each week, the Bettorsworld crew gets together and comes up with what we feel are the best games on the board. Each week we'll generally put up anywhere from 5-10 college games and 5-6 NFL games.

August 28, 2006

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS FOR THURSDAY  - College football kicks off on THURSDAY!! Boston College and Central Michigan get things started at 6pm est followed by eight additional games. We've put together a brief write up on all the games as well as a few predictions. We're just as excited as everyone to get things going here but be careful! There's tons of football to be played with plenty of solid selections coming your way. This opening day card is weak at best.

PANTHERS WILL WIN SUPER BOWL  - According to SPORTSBETTING.COM players that is. Players are betting that the Panthers will win their first Super Bowl in Florida, February 4, 2007. With current odds of 12-1, they have garnered more than 14% of the Super Bowl futures wagering.

THE KELLY SYSTEM - MONEY MANAGEMENT  - Ask any sportsbetting pro about money management and they will tell you about the Kelly system. Most say it's impossible to win in the long run without it. It's not really all that complex and learning it is just one more step on the road to successful sportsbetting. Check it out and add your own two cents!

EMMY AWARDS BETTING ODDS  - The great thing about betting on the Emmy awards is that literally EVERYONE is an expert in their own right! Just about all of us have our favorite shows we like to watch in the tube and we all have our opinions as to which ones are better than others. Now we can actually make a profit from sitting on the couch and watching television!

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TRENDS  - Successful handicappers are usually ahead of trends, spotting them before they become common knowledge. Here are some college football trends I'm expecting to see this season. As always, it's just as important to know bad ones as it is good ones, especially in advance, when betting on college football.

CHIEFS -3.5 OVER RAMS  - Ultimately we would like to find an underdog in a spot like this, making it worthwhile of an investment. But in this game, it looks like the cat is out of the bag as far as playing a team yet to win. Here, the Chiefs have probably been the WORST team in the pre season. They have only scored 14 points, worst in the NFL and have given up 41. The Chiefs look terrible! Yet, they are a 3.5 point fav.

WEEK 3 NFL PRE SEASON PICKS  - Here we are into week three already of the preseason. I have always been a believer in that week three is as close to a regular season game as you will get during these pretend games. I really think that is something to consider. Next week nobody is going to play. I won’t even take anybody in the final week of preseason, it is a 100% guessing game that week.

August 23, 2006

HOW SHARPS BET THE NFL PRE SEASON  - Debating the merits of betting on preseason NFL, I'm often asked about the logic of betting games when the starters spend most of their time on the sideline. While many professional players avoid preseason football, a substantial number of sharps at Pinnacle Sports betting still have action, despite this concern and do so for one reason - profit.

FREE BASEBALL PICK - From leading handicapper Rocketman Sports. Todays free selection is on the Astros @ Reds game. The Reds offense has averaged scoring 6 runs per game against Left Handed Starters this year. Pettite hasn't pitched all that well this year with an 11-13 record overall and only 4-7 with a 5.45 ERA on the road this season. Get the free pick inside!

NFC SOUTH PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS- The Panthers are 10:1 to win the Super Bowl, 5:1 to win the NFC Championship, and 4:6 to win the NFC South. Injuries have been cruel to the Panthers at crucial stages of the past two seasons, but if Coach John Fox can keep his big guns healthy, the Panthers will do what is expected of them; claim the division title.

WHO'S BETTING ON WHAT? -Our favorite handicapping tool is the chart put out by that shows us what percentage of their wagers taken are on which teams. Check it out for this weeks pre season NFL games!

BEST PARLAY PAYOUTS??- A Bettorsworld poster has asked which sportsbooks offer the best payouts on two team parlays? Do you have something to add to this conversation? Check it out in the original sportsbetting forums!

This is must read material for anyone serious about beating sports. The kick off column this years includes the 10 golden rules of sportsbetting. The first rule? GET THE BEST PRICE !!!!

COLLEGE FOOTBALL LINES-There has already been some movement on the college football openers. Northwestern opened pick at CRIS and is now -3. South Carolina went from -7.5 to -6. Penn State opened -23.5 over Akron and the money has come pouring in on Akron. Apparently bettors don't think Paterno can pull a rabbit out of the hat again this year. We here at Bettorsworld disagree. We think the Penn State side is starting to show some value!!

WSEX SPORTSBOOK REVIEW - We really don't have the space necessary to do World Sports Exchange justice. Because, we could literally write a book about WSEX. World Sports Exchange IS offshore sportsbetting. They define the term. They were here before just about everyone. Back in the mid 1990's, when Bettorsworld got it's start, there were only a handful of offshore sportsbooks and only a couple of them were actually set up to take wagers online. WSEX was one of those books.

AFC WEST PREVIEW- Raiders Coach Shell was the right man to take over the 4-12 Raiders for a number of reasons. One, he will provide discipline that this team desperately needs. Two, he was a successful head coach with the Raiders from 1989-1994. Shell went 54-38 in that span and it was disgraceful that it took him so long to receive another head job. Shell was also a Hall of Fame player with the Raiders. That earns him a lot of respect in the locker room and with Owner Al Davis.

WAC COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREVIEW- The poor man’s Pac-10, the WAC is known for highly explosive offenses and porous defensive efforts. Among the conference’s best are Nevada, Boise State, Fresno State, and Hawaii and will all vie for the league’s top spot. The Broncos of Boise State have long dominated the conference and won at least a share of the title since 2002, but after Nevada rose up and grabbed that shared piece, a new titleholder could reign in ’06.

August 8, 2006

SUN BELT CONFERENCE PREVIEW- As many as five teams could potentially take the Sun Belt in 2006, with Louisiana-Lafayette, Troy, North Texas, Arkansas State heading the class. This year’s race should be the closest in just the sixth this conference has been around. Louisiana-Lafayette finished last season winning its last five games and have the best talent in the Sun Belt....

August 4 - Aug 7, 2006

SEC FOOTBALL PICKS AND PREVIEWS-The best and most challenging college football is played in the South Eastern Conference and ’06 will be another exceptional year among the south’s elite programs. Florida, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Tennessee will all be bowl teams and almost anyone of these teams could make a run at the conference’s BCS birth.

PAC 10 FOOTBALL PREVIEW - If there was ever a chance to surpass a vulnerable Southern Cal team, 2006 is the year. No more Reggie Bush. No more Matt Leinart. No more conference dominance? After the loss of its back-to-back Heisman winners and 12 position starters, USC and Pete Carroll will have their work cut out for them if they want to be the first Pac-10 team to win at least a share of five consecutive Pac-10 titles.

HALL OF FAME GAME - FREE PRE SEASON PICK-It's once again time for the NFL to tee it up as the NFL pre season officially gets underway with the annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. This years game is a match up between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Oakland Raiders. Handicapping the NFL pre season is no easy task. Which teams will want to win? Which teams and coaches don't stress winning in pre season?

AFC NORTH PREVIEW - Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger looks like he will be ready for opening day even after his horrific motorcycle accident. The question is, will he stand up in the pocket against the pass rush or will he be a little gun shy about getting hit? Roethlisberger’s favorite receiving target is back in Hines Ward, but Antwaan Randle-El has gone to Washington and the team needs rookie Santonio Holmes to take on some of that production. Problem is, Holmes has already been arrested twice since the draft and he is looking like a major head case.
