  • NBA Lakers - Detroit

Detroit is 5-3 at the moment after losing two games in a row against Sacramento (they played without Wallace) and Golden State (in OT). Now they meet probably the strongest lineups in the league, but not the strongest teams. Don`t get it wrong – Lakers is strong (6-2 at the moment), but they have a whole bunch of problems which have been disturbed them to play as good as they really could. Well it is like Hollywood: Kobe is having his legal problems, Shaq calls Lakers as MY team, Payton and Shaq were fined by Jackson for arriving late to Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Raptors. Not to forget that Malone strained his hamstring in last game and his ability to play is under some doubts. Not the perfect situation for L.A to enter the game against Detroit.

In resent matches O`Neal has been the man for Lakers by scoring points and crabbing the boards in both ends. Now he will meet the toughest opponent – best defensive player, Ben Wallace. Last year teams split games between themselves by winning 1 game each. Wallace held O`Neal quite well and crabbed 21 rebounds in last meeting between two centers. So Lakers must hope tonight that Kobe or Payton can really create something, which haven`t been the case in last two games where Memphis and Toronto hold them both under 20 points. No doubts who has stabilty and better team play, which could be decisive at the end.

Betandwin offers +4.5 for Detroit at halftime and +8 for the game. Since Lakers has posted some wins in 4th quarter against his opponents this year it is reasonable to take halftime line this time. Medium stakes.
