Ok, we got the tennesee titans at the new
york jets tonite at the meadowlands. After
looking at this game i felt that the titans
seemed like a pretty good choice, but the
more i think about it, the more I like the
home dog on monday night. Here are my
reasons. The titans have been pretty
consistent at home and on the road, but
i can see them looking past this game and
towards next weeks matchup against the
colts for the possible first place spot.
Pennington has been playing real well
as of late, after driving the jets down
to a game winning touchdown for a
great comeback win last week. The jets
have kept all of their games close and
have not gotten blown out all year. I can
just see the jets needing this win more
tonite then the titans do. For pride, for
the home fans, the national spot light.
The jets are 5th in the league in sacks,
and if volek is playing tonite, that might
be just enough to rattle the first time
starter. Sure the titans have to number
one rush defense, but there pass defense
is average at best, so look for the passing
game to pick it up a notch. Curtis Martin
is quietly have a solid season averaging
4.1 yards a carry and close to 900 yards
rushing, but not too many people hear
about that. Anyways, I am going with my
gut feeling tonite and hoping the Jets
can pull of this monday night upset.
