ABC Island doesn't take a hit

For all you Don Best watchers out there, ABC Island will not take even one hit on their posted lines on Don Best.

They will basically follow the other books and will move their lines according to what the other books listed on the service do. If Carib moves the line...ABC moves the line.

They used to be a really good book until Bill left them last year. Now, they are just WEAK.

I can not tell you how many times I have seen a game I like start to move and want to get something down on it before it before it moves any more. I try to make a play into their posted lines and have been given another line.

They also seem to change their rules every day. They used to be the best place to play teasers, now they will only take dime teasers on most plays.

I agree, Sal. ABC has been all downhill since their founder departed. All of the books pretty much move at about the same time when a syndicate move comes. Everyone looks at the screen and moves accordingly. It's one gigantic pain in the ass.

I realize and have no problem with moving the lines when the syndicate plays come in, but you have to know that first hand. Take one hit on a number and move it.

I am saying that they move based on other books moves and do not take any hits themselves.

Fron my point of view as a bettor, Don Best is the WORST thing that has happened to the serious sports bettor this decade. For 500 a month,it made unsophisticated bookmakers sharp.
I predict that in the future, we will see one line everywhere we look. How unfortunate. Remember Leroys? They have the same line at 30 different hotels in Nevada. Welcome to the information age. The good old days are going if not gone.

SAL, ABC DOES have some large players and they DO sometimes take a hit. Pretty much all of the bookmakers are guilty of moving a line based on the "screen". ASHLEY, I have mixed feelings about DON BEST. You're correct about what it has done for the smaller and less experienced bookmakers. I don't think that there is anything more ridiculous than moving a number without taking in a wager. On the other hand, if you subscribe to it, you can get the best possible number available at that time. If I like a game and it is moving against me, I will try to grab it at some place that isn't a slave to the screen. If they're moving it in my favor, I just wait until the dust settles and play the most advantageous number. It's a blessing AND a curse.

i have to disagree with the author of this article.....i have been using abc islands for about 4 weeks now....and their service is excellent....i should mention that i use them for their 3 team ten point teasers in football....and have wagered up to 10 dimes.....on theses teasers with great success....for my experience the worst offshore place in the world is bowman's international....the highest lines in the world bar none....good luck to everyone!....let's all make a killing this week

Well Rod we will have to agree to disagree. I have found the absolute opposite. I will stand by my comments on ABC. Of course your 4 weeks of experience with them must tell you all you need to know.

I have been betting into Bowmans for almost a decade. They have proven to me again and again that they are at or near the top.

You are of course entitled to your opinion but I will go with the proven guy.

Rod -- What the heck is a high line? I understand a 20cent baseball line is high, but are you talking football and basketball?
Do you bet only favorites? I would love to have an out that had infated #s on the favorite! Can anyone else confirm that Bowmans inflates favorites? Any other books tend to inflate favs. I can say E** does but I'm done with them for now.
