They have been down since mid-afternnon on Sunday. I sometimes worry this means they are having a bad weekend or are afraid of the card...of course last yaer they had several weekends where thier server went down. Anybody have any input..thanks in advance.

Just called them (1-888-bet2bet) and they are having problems with their internet provider. They WILL be back up by this afternoon (they hope). They re offering the same minimums if you call and place a phone wager. No big deal, just a small scare.

I have long thought that BETTORSWORLD would be ideal as a clearinghouse for this sort of information. BW has a good reputation in the industry and is respected by the books themselves. When incidents like this happen,
BW could offer themselves to the sportsbooks
as a place to post reliable information. A phonecall from the sportsbook to BW webhosts would insure that reliable info gets posted. A Rumor Control Central would put to rest malicious gossip and ease fears.
This might be a lot of work for the people running this webpage, but Bettorsworld has credibility that other sportswagering websites lack. If people see something on Bettorsworld, they know the info is good.

Paul, you make some excellent points. What you mention is actually in place now,and always has been.

Since day one we have made it clear that should any sportsbook have a message they need to get out,we are more than happy to post it.

An instance such as a server going down is a perfect example. Most all of the books know how to get in touch with us.If they don't,all they have to do is ask.

We realize that not all of any books customers visit this site, but many do,and you have to start somewhere.

That should really be taken into consideration when rating a books customer service,or deciding whether or not to play there.

Maybe to the book it's no big deal if their server goes down or for some other reason people can't contact them, but it is a big deal to many of their customers.Customers who may not have the 800#,or simply customers that are new to offshore/internet wagering.Panic sets in.

If I'm a customer of a book,I want to know they at least appreciate my business enough to make an effort to let me/others know of a problem.Without your customers your nothing. They shouldn't assume their customers are going to be there tommorrow. Not with all the competition out there.

When a book gets to be to big to care, that spells trouble.

All GSC customers should have access to the 1-800 number. I'm sure had they called they would have been reassured that everything is OK. With all the GSC customers who visit this site, it doesn't seem like there were too many people panicking. I do believe it's a good policy to notify Bettorsworld when even the slightest thing goes wrong. I agree 100% with what Oddswiz is saying. With regard to GSC, I seem to recall that the CEO was going to be taking a 3 week vacation (I believe this week included) which could offer some explanation as to why Bettorsworld was not notified.
