Bulls -5.5
In their last game the Bulls got a surprisingly easy 99-87 victory against a good San Antonio Spurs team. The Bulls led most of the game, and the victory really was a great team effort. Both Tyrus Thomas and P.J. Brown contributed. Luol Deng was his steady self with 17 points. Ben Gordon, starting alongside Hinrich, finished with 20 points. Also Andres Nocioni had another solid game as the team's sixth man. The Bulls have held their last three opponents to fewer than 90 points, so even without Ben Wallace, they are playing some of their best defense this season.
After the five-game losing streak the Bucks got a much-needed 99-91 victory over the Bobcats on Monday. It was a big win for the short-handed Bucks if we take into account the fact that they were still without their injured starting backcourt of leading scorer Michael Redd and top playmaker Mo Williams. Milwaukee won that game thanks to Earl Boykins and Andrew Bogut. Boykins played his second game with the Bucks and scored a game-high 30 points. He also had six rebounds and four assists. Bogut, meanwhile, had probably the best game of his career as he scored a career-high 27 points on 12-for-15 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds. Those to guys will hardly going to repeat that kind of performances tonight. Keep in mind that Bogut struggled in his first two games against the Bulls this season, totaling just 10 points and nine rebounds in a pair of losses. Boykins at the same time will be guarded by Kirk Hinrich, so getting near 30 points again is out of the question.
With the lack of depth - Redd, Williams, Villanueva and Simmons are still out - the Bucks will have to do more than they possible can against the Bulls tonight. If the Bulls come out and play their game, they should easily beat the handicap –5.5 offered by bookies (just hoping they don't take the Bucks too lightly). Medium stakes!
