  • NCAA Dance Card Update for ILLINOIS

As you all may remember early in the year,
The Illini received a letter from the Carpet
and the NIT welcoming Illinois to the NIT
    should they desire to attend...

The Illini decided they want to get back to the dance
for the 8th year straight, the big dance, not
    the NIT...

Winning 6 out of 7 running the record to
21-9 this mash unit run by coach Weber
may just get to the dance....

    According to DANCE CARD.....Illinois
is ranked 39 out of 47 at large bids, they
have a RPI of 25 one the best of the remaining teams
    alive

Illinois travels to Iowa Saturday, The Hawkees
are ranked 64 out of 47 at large bids with an
    RPI of 73....

A win by Iowa ...they still are heading to
the Sister Dance, a loss by Illinois to Iowa
at Carver arena could be deveastating for Illinois...

I will be laser beamed in on this game
from the floor all week...ILLINI vs Iowa
Early numbers show Illinois by 4.0

Woodie.....I know your a big Hawkee genuis
and will be drawing on your keen insight as the week progresses...

Carpet will start a ILLINOIS vs IOWA thread
for all the insight and intelligence we can gather
from our friends at BW on this game....

    Good Luck all Carpet

Good call--I'll keep an eye on the Hawks for you this week and share my insight after you start your thread. Looks like Iowa has Penn State on the road coming up. Was going to be Tuesday but it is PPD until Wednesday.

May be a classic Look-ahead situation for Iowa so may look at PSU if the line is favorable. Expect it to be around +5 or so, like the illini game on Saturday.

Will be a good game in Iowa City on Staurday for sure. Senior day for the hawks with a lot on the line for both teams. Think Hawks do not have a shot unless they win out and go dep into the tourney. Illinois is controlling their own destiny but cannot slip up in the final games. If they do that, I think they are in.

I need some mid-west teamt ot root for since Iowa State and Northern Iowa are out for sure.

I'll wait for your new thread and offer any info I can.
