    Rockets -5.5

If you compare records those two teams have there is no question who will win the game. The Rockets have a record of 36 wins and 24 losses, which gives them 5th place in the Western Conference standings. That is even more impressive if you consider that the team has played for extended periods without Yao and T-Mac. At the same time the Celtics have a record 17-42 and have lost all but theoretical chances to get to the play-offs this year.

Those two teams actually met a week ago and the Celtics gained from the absence of T-Mac and Yao to win the game 77-72. Paul Pierce had a solid performance with 28 points and Al Jefferson supported him with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Coming to play a back-to-back game T-Mac was out with his usual back spasms and Yao was still in injured list. This loss hurt the Rockets as they are trying to climb up in the standings to get a home-court advantage and maybe a bit easier opponent for the play-off first round series.

Win over the Rockets started Celtics 4-game winning streak with wins also against the Nets, Knicks and T`wolves. The Rockets have lost their last 2 games. Losing to the Spurs isn’t that bad, but the Rockets also played awfully 2 nights ago losing by 6 to the Cavs. T-Mac shot only 10-32 from the field and Yao looked out of sync in his first game back from injury.

One thing is for sure. We will see a very motivated Rockets team tonight. They want to bounce back from 2-game losing streak, get their revenge against the Celtics for a loss a week ago, Yao wants to get back to his usual dominating role and you can be sure T-Mac will bounce back from an “off-night” and torture the Celts mediocre defence. Recent trends have confused the bookies as we think quality and motivation will make a difference here and the Rockets will take an easy win. Medium+ stakes!
