Providing a Solid beat down on North Carolina
in Overtime last game has made Carpet a believer
that this team is for real.

Good Defensive club, big Inside in the paint
not afraid to play man to man all game....

GT plays a princeton style of offense and
you will see many back door cuts..

Avg FT shooting team 72% vs OSU at 70%
(that number changes for OSU if Oden is at the line)

A LOOK AT OHIO STATE

Two players make this team Period....

Mike Conley and Greg Oden both freshmen.
They played together in High School...

Conley a outstanding point has no flaws, he refuses
to lose and knows the court so well, very very smart player

Oden a NBA 1st year college student is prone to
giving up the foul, a force on the court, a big
boat anchor on the bench.

CARPETS FLOOR VIEW

I look for Ohio State to Open up in a 2-3 zone
trying to funnel the ball into Oden inside...
The 2-3 zone will also limit the back door cuts
if successful...

If it works Ohio State stays there
(absent Oden)

Carpet sees GeorgeTown picking this strategy apart,

Oden of OSU will find himself in the usual foul
trouble situation and will become a non factor
for 6 to 7 minutes of a 40 minute game MINIMUM

The Hoyas are as an athletic bunch of players
I have ever seen, well coached and if they bring their A
Game look out

Carpet, and others.............Whether you like it or not, this is the Final Four thread............Briefly (and I'm sure this thread will reach 250 views or more before Saturday), I'm liking the thought of G'town prevailing on Saturday like you are - even though they have the 2 "big men" as well, I get the feeling that game and tourney experience will play a big factor down the stretch..........The way the Hoyas came back against the team that many observers thought were the ones to beat, speaks for itself.............Both they, and Ohio State are obviously the hottest teams going..............I just get the feeling that when all is said and done, the Buckeyes will be counting on Oden alot more than than he'll be able to handle, and the coaching and experience factor will play a gigantic part in the long run............We'll break it down further in a future post.............This is my first look..........Stay tuned for the view from the Pacific regarding the West Coast darling Bruins, vs. the defending champion Gators.

Carpet, all I was saying is that the thread has started, and nobody is more inclined to post or view anything else than what you and others have to offer - other than what is posted on this thread..............Believe me pal, your insight is golden - and all I meant is that anything anyone else has to offer, will certainly be posted in rebuttal on THIS thread - and probably not anywhere else.............Trust me, there will be an awful lot of BW members looking right here for the edge, and the right approach to this weekends games...............Give yourself some credit, as I and others do.........In other words, anybody that has insight to these games, will be posting right here...........positive or negative, let's hear all the angles..........That's what it's all about..........I myself will be checking into this post on a daily basis...........I'll weigh the intelligence and the popular opinion later.
