    INDIANA -1.5 vs. Illinois

Indiana 18-3 14th ranked comes calling on the Illini

Indy opens a 1.5 chalk vs. the home team Illinois

    A Look at the Game

Indy struggles against good Defensive ball clubs
Case in Point (UCON) and (ILL) last games played

The Hoosiers will turn the ball over a lot vs.
Clamp down defense. The Perimeter Defense for Indy
    is also weak.

Illinois is not that good at shooting 3 pointers, but
neither is Penn State or Northwestern who shot lights
out against Indy from long range.

It wasn’t until Indy went to a 2-3 Zone vs. Northwestern
    did they pull away.

The Hoosiers did try a 2-3 Zone last game vs. Illinois but
    Only for a little while,

Illinois kept beating them down the court
and getting into the lane to quickly before Indy could set
up, so they went back to man to man.

I look at this game as a WAR, and every time these
2 play each other it is always close. Illinois says this is a
STATEMENT GAME for them and I believe it.

Look for Pruitt of Illinois to have a solid game inside and
Brian Randle and company will be putting major DEFENSE
    On Eric Gordon…

ILLINOIS to win the Battle Straight Up…

    Good Luck all

That was a battle. I can't believe the 2 missed free throws and the 'almost' tackle after the 2nd miss. I don't know who the player was but he should have got called for that foul on the half-court shot.

Illinois had chances to win or at least cover. I don't know where the line landed in the end but I got a loss with the +2. Saw a lot of people on Indy but I stuck with the Illini play.

You were all over this game carpet with your insight.

        Nice JOb.

I had +2.5. Ruined a nice little parlay. Damn OT. Nice call though Carpet...that was right on.

ok, again carpet has some quality insights. this is NOT a slam at carpet even though I am sure someone will take i that way. but lets get real about illinois basketball.

They are hideous. they cannot make a free throw with any sort of consistency when the games are on the line. Can't hold any leads, always getting run down in crunch time, coughing up leads like born losers. IF this was indeed their "statement" game then they are telling the world," LOOK AT US! WE ARE LOSERS!"

I have found the carpet write ups informative, and of course, am never on the winning ones. I always find the losing sides, just like last night. Having a small play on that collection of quitting pigs meant I pretty much was confined to watching that disgusting display. Was stuck at work with nothing else to watch pretty much (my own fault for betting it, I blame only myself).

Wish you all nothing but winners.

Illinois should have won this game

Once with 3 seconds to play pruitt missed a
one and one and again in OT Pruitt missed
              both free throws

That game was a kick on the balls

              Had the game dialed in...

                Hart Attack

Thank you for your kind words, you are
                always welcome in my threads.

I believe you are right concerning Illinois
last game as a Statement Game as I called it.

This Illinois team is the Best 10-14 team
in the Land. And they are getting better
every day as the youngsters start to
                play.

If I was capping Illinois from Here on out
I would (and I am) say they are gonna be
tooth and nail in every game left on the schedule.
