Illinois is at home to take on the Mighty Golden
Gophers.
The Gophers led by Tubby Smith have done
a really nice job of playing some good basketball.
They are a quick guard led offense, move very well
to the ball. Excellent rebounding team. The Gophers
have 2 players you just never want to foul.
Minny is sporting a 20-7 record, they are 8-7 in
big ten play. The Gophers are 4-5 on the road this year
Last time these two teams played Minny shut down
Illinois holding them to just 36 points.
A LOOK AT ILLINOIS

Illinois is 0-3 against the next three teams they
play this year.
Illinois coming off its best shooting effort this year
hitting over 59% from the floor beating Ohio State
in Columbus.
The Illini love home cooking and a sea of orange
will greet Tubby and company for the game.
Illinois is 3rd in the nation in scoring defense
holding teams to 56.3 ppg. They are also 24th
in FG defense at 39%, both go hand in glove.
They are healthy and the Penn State debacle
is still in the back of the players minds.

on the defensive end. Minny gaurds are quick
and will attack the rim.
The fact they are at home, with a crowd that
will accept no less than 100% from the players
they will be pumped.
This is a must win game for both teams,
Illinois looking to stay close for a chance at
Michigan State for the title, and Minny is
fighting for a NCAA bid.
