  • Monday 2/14 College Hoops thread

Going to try to go day-by day as someone suggested. Feel free to start the threads daily if you beat me in.

Short Card today but some good games on Big Monday.

    KU -5.5 at K-State

    Cuse -5.5 VS. WV

Leaning on both Favs at the moment, epecially Cuse. Want to see if KU gets ranked #1 or not too.

    Thoughts?

    I am going to bite...

Kansas State +6 (just got there at Sports Interaction) over KU...KU is the new #1 in the land and roll into a tough game tonight. Maybe some extar value here after they crushed Iowa State on Saturday by 20+. Its one of those game that could be a blowout KU's way, or K-State picks up a huge win. I will take the points and gamble with the Cats at home.

        715 Kansas -5 or -5-5
        716 K State +5 or +5.5

Checking around the various sites at about 6 hours before game time, I'm seeing the Public is all over Kansas - respectively
95%, 93%, 94% and "funny money Wagerline" 81%. One Vegas site had line move to -6 and than returned to -5.5. If the trend continues at the offshore and Vegas sites holding the line at -5/-5.5 K State and the Public continues going heavy on Kansas, K State with the pts is a solid play. Who knows, perhaps K State ML should also be considered.

        Good luck to all!

I agree... I see a +6.5 at SI right now.

If you bet at SI (Sports Interaction) you can click on the conversation tab and see people discuss the game and see % too. I see people saying "easy money" on KU and I love being on the opposite sides of that kind of talk. People who spout off on that type of board is a good indicator of a sqaure side. But the public sides do win too, but I like being on the opposite most of the time for the long run profits.

May add another unit to it if it keeps growing.

K-state is a volatile team with their spaz coach so if they get down, it may be hard for them to come back. Iowa State played with KU earlier in the year at home so it can be done and KSU does have much more talent than them.

I just don't see the books getting crushed tonight on KU.

One of the more sharper books, The greek, has KU -5.5 (-105) right now.

              Going with the following tonight:

              714 Syracuse -5.5
              716 K State +6

?? 732 NC A&T +2.5 ?? (If I can find a sportsbook with the line that I'm familiar with, so far unable).

              Good luck to all!

Going with Syracuse to finally snap out of it at home.

                Syracuse -5

And going under on the Kansas-K-State game under 146.

K-State is not very good and Kansas is very good and very smart. But they are missing two players tonight - at least one starter - Robinson. Still I wouldn't go against them. Guess I'm with the squares on this one, but I wont play it due to the missing Kansas players and the fact that KSU may be down to their last bullet here and a win against the #1 team might keep them alive and certainly make their miserable season.

I also am tailing a good capper on Tennessee Tech -4.

                No System plays today.

I have got to take Kansas at -4 it looked like a gift from Vegas, and at -6 it still has legs to me.

You guys are right the betting public is all over Kansas.

I dont think Kansas let's up tonight after being made # 1 again, My numbers show Kansas by 9

Michigan State + 13 at Ohio State

                    Maryland + 3.5 at VTech

St Johns + 6 at Marquette (This one has some real value)

I was also looking at NC -23 vs Wake Forest (Is wake really that bad?)

I'm glad I didn't take Kansas pre-game. I wanted to wait till halftime. See if I can get a good line on a possible comeback.

I haven't seen the whole 1H. How does it look. Will they make a 2H run?

Probably will be Kansas -6 or -7?

I dunno. Kansas looks flat and not playing D. I may nor may not go for the 2H play. The total is on a pace for 150, four over my 146. Will they slow it down? K-State kept pushing it even near the end of the half.

                          Kansas -6.5 and 77.5.

I think they play better D and get tired 2H so under 77.5 for me. Not sure about Kansas -6.5. If Kansas just covers, that would be a 2 point K-State win.

Great insight today. I jumped on.

If Carpet's numbers are right, Michigan St. getting 13 @ Ohio St. is just a tad bit too much.

Wow, cashed that KU-KSU under 77.5 2H by a half point! Didn't play KU 2H thankfully.

2-2 on the night, but won a little bit as I had more on Cuse.

Nice call on K-State being up for it tonight, guys!

Kansas did not look like a #1 team or even a Final Four team tonight.

Give me Texas, Ohio State, Duke, and maybe Kansas, Pitt or even Wisconsin.
