  • What are your predictions for the upcoming MLB season?

A favorite online sportsbook of my allowed me to parlay all of the divisional champions I believe will win their pennants.

There are some very nice odds even when I took chalk. I know chalk doesn't prevail, but what the heck why not go for it.

    I keyed:
    Philadelphia
    Milwaukee
    San Francisco
    Boston
    Texas

    with Minnesota, Detroit and Chicago

All parlays pay off near 90 to 105-1

How do you feel about the Tigers this year?

I am torn about the Tigers. I've a White Sox fan my whole life, so I will always root for them and think that the addition of Dunn will certainly help the lineup by having a true DH power bat in the line up.

I think the Tigers will be a sleeper. If you recall last year, they were competitive until the injury bug bit them. Maggs is a stud. If Cabrera stays off the bottle, he will be another big bopper in the lineup. Verlander is solid and remainder of the rotation is not that bad.

I really have a feeling that it will be a 3 team race (Twins, Tigers and White Sox). No team is dominant enough to pull away in the division. I would say neither team will have more than a 4 game lead. It will probably come down to the last week to decide the winner.

It should be a fun and stressful season for me.

The Cards will be severely over valued again this year. They may be in gams but I think their bull pen struggles like it did a few years back. Franklin will be fired from the closer role sooner than later as he racks up the blown saves.

Wainwright is now out and Carpenter anchors the staff. Jaime Garcia is into his sophomore season and I think he may struggle and be a good go against.

Cards finsish 4th behind the cubs, reds, and brewers.

I would take under whatever their win total is....And then bye-bye Larussa and Pujouls. Pujouls will have a down year too.

Maybe I am going in as an underdog thios year with my team, but I am not expecting much. Just no great off-season moves to help them out.

I do like the Orioles as a good team to bet as a dog this year too.

Yes!!!! I love baseball season. This year is going to be a tough one I am a Giants fan so it will be hard to root against them but the dodgers scare me if they stay healthy. That pitching staff has the weapons to be good. The starting 5 are all real good pitchers however their bullpen is a little weak. Everyone knows that they can rake and if they stay healthy that wont change at all. Last year they got real beat up and pitching staff was not good.Kemp and Ethier are studs Looney proved last year he can play. If they score runs they will be up there.
The Rockies will do their typical thing be in the top 3 and then make a run at the end. If they stay healthy they will make a run for the division they have the bats to do it. I dnt think Gonzalez will have the year he did last year but he will definately be a top player in the NL..If Tulo stays healthy he will be a stud he is one of my favorite players to watch. They got three good pitchers in Jimenez De la rosa and Chacin
..Padres and Dbacks will suck it up..
Now the giants Its the same story as last year IMO they have the pitching to beat anyone in a 7 game series but do they have the bats. We got hot last year at the right time remember they didnt win division til the last game of the season it also helped the padres dropped like 10 games straight. Having Posey up all year will be nice the smoothest swing in baseball i think he is gunna hit 30 hr and 100+ rbis and bat in the .300s this kid is a stud and he is going to be the best catcher in the NL too. Huff has always been a good player he just never got any attention on those shitty teams i expect him to have a similar year to last year. Pablo Sandoval will be back this year I think he will return to hitting in the .290s I love how aggressive he is I have no problem with him going up there and hacking away. Hopefully this Belt kid gets sent down I dnt want him up for the beginning of the year He was hot at the start of spring but wasnt so great at the end I say send him down let him get confidence back and then bring him in at the end of june.
Its gunna be a good season i got the giants winning this division by 2 games over the dodgers

Let me know if you guys want my opinion on some other teams and divisions I feel like i know baseball pretty well

Alright Im not gunna talk about every team so ill give u the top three teams in each division.
              NL west
Giants belt made roster i think its a bad move and if he doesnt hit well they will send him down when ross is healthy
              Rockies
              Dodgers
wrote about them earlier switching to rockies to finish 2nd

              NL central
              Milwaukee
A good team who improved their pitching staff. Marcum i think is going to have a great year gallardo is a solid number 1 or 2. Im not the biggest fan of greinke I think he is good but i dnt think he will ever win another Cy young He should be solid if he quits playing basketball he will have an offense that can get him run support so i see him winning 15 games. Offensively Fielder had a slow start last season i think he will play well this year they got a team that can compete so that will motivate him. Braun is a solid player hits the crap out of the ball..Axford is the real deal as a closer i think he gets 30 +..They play in a hitters park so expect HRs from this team.. I think they have the most complete team out of the Central
              Reds
Votto needs to have another MVP season if they want to win central..He is an awesome player and will have another good year..Drew stubbs is suppose to bat leadoff and if he raises his average he can be a top leadoff guy in the leagues he steals bases and hits the ball hard..Phillips is a good 2nd baseman if he stays healthy he provides them will solid bat in the lineup..Rolen had an incredible year last year I dnt think he will have the same year he is getting old and i dnt see him making it through the season i think hit will hit the 15 day DL a few times. Real yound pitching staff needs to stay healthy Lost harang Cueto needs to get healthy Volquez made a nice recovery from tommy john I like him a lot Dusty Baker is one of the best managers in the game I got milwaukee winning the division but after writing this its made me like the reds even more wouldnt be surprised one bit if they took this division. Oh yea and Chapman stud enough said
              Cardinals
Losing Wainwright without a doubt hurt them. Carpenter will have a good year however he cant pitch every game. Westbrook is a good pitcher but he is not a great number 2 guy i see him winning just as many games as he loses. Garcia i think is gunna have a bad year last season he finished not so good and this spring has been bad for him as well. IF Lohse stays healthy it will be interesting how he ends up doing elbow issues the past two seasons has hurt him. McClellan was a great arm in the bullpen last season they will miss him there but we shall see what he can do as a starter. Pujols i think still has a great season it would just depend on waht you wuld call a bad season for him i dnt ever see him hitting uner .300 and 35 hrs..I love Rasmus he is a guy that can go 20/20 real young good defensively..Holliday is a great hitter him and pujols are a great 3 4 combo. They need punto to get back from hernia surgery when he comes back i see him starting and batting 2nd allowing then to move rasmus to 5th where he can get some RBIs.. they will compete they just dnt have the pitching staff to win it tho
              NL EASt
              Phillies
Hard not to put ur money on them with that rotation..We all know what they can do and they most likely will do it not even gunna waste my time talking about them..As far as hitting i think they have a down year Injuries will play a huge role. Utley i think is done as a dominate hitter i dnt see him getting his knees back and hitting 25+ Hrs ever again Ryan howard has become a better hitter and he can continue to be a top hitter in the game. Polanco was a huge boost for them last year however he is having elbow problems..Victorino and Rollins need to get back to having good seasons Ibanez had a horrible year so they need some productivity from him. Dominic brown was suppose to be the RF but broke his hand However francisco raked this spring and i think the job is his unless he falls apart and lets Brown steal it. If utley doesnt get healthy 2nd base will be a huge hole for them..I really dnt like the phillies like i said its just hard to go against them with that pitching staff
              Braves
I love the braves they are young have a good pitching staff.. If bobby cox was their manager id have them winning this division. tommy hanson is a great young arm and Hudson stayed healthy and was back to himself Lowe was a solid guy. Jurrjens is a good 4 starter and this beachy kid is a young kid with a good arm. their offense i think is the best in this division. Prado is a great hitter hits in the .300s can play anywhere on the field. If McClouth gets back to an all star then he is a bat that will help them. Chipper Jones had a great recovery to his torn ACL provides that leadership. McCann is the Best and most proven catcher in the NL Heyward is a young stud who is only going to get better with every at bat. I see uggla dropping 35+ HRs.. IF this freddie Freeman kid hits the ball well all season then watch out i think he will have a bit of a slow start though but by the end of the season he will be good and consistent. THey will make the playoffs it just depends on either winning the divison or wild card.
Dnt like any one else in this divison doing anything I really really like the braves tho I hope they dethrown the Phillies.

                AL east
Boston will win this division they have too good of hitting to be knocked off their pitching has the potential to be great but they dnt even need to be great for them to win with their hitting..

                Al central
I like the white sox They need Peavy to get healthy he will provide a huge boost to their rotation..Juan pierre gets on base and steals bases great leadoff guy..they need beckham to hit the ball like he did at the end of the season Dunn is going to drop 40 hrs paul konerko is getting old but still a great hitter had an amazing year last year and will have another good year not great but good I think they have the best team in the central
                Twins
They always seem to compete. Mauer is the best catcher in the game hopefully his knees hold up Morneau needs to stop slamming his head and he will have a good season that 2nd baseman from japan is suppose to be the real deal but it seems like one guy from japan is suppose to be the next ichiro every season Liriano is an Ace i really like him but other than him they dnt have an amazing startting five they do have a pitchers ball park so that will help them out. THey do have one of the best bullpens in baseblla nathan returning from tommy john will give them a consistent closer and Capps is pretty damn good too.
                Tigers
Cabrera can drink all he wants if he had the season he did last year clearly has a drinking problem but i dnt see it slowing him down at all Maggs is getting older and losing his pop but still a great hitter Martinez hopefully can hit the ball better than he did in boston.. Austin jackson needs to have a good year for them and not do what he did the second half last season. I really like verlander and scherzer Brad penny has proven to be a good pitcher. Just dnt see them winning it.
                AL west
                Rangers
Love their offense I think Kinsler stays healthy and hits the ball well this year Andrus is a speedy and good SS Hamilton wont have the year he did last season but still a great ball player. Same for beltre Nelson cruz if healthy is a dangerous hitter i love him in fantasy baseball he can run and hit just needs to be healthy..Young is a great player they can have him hit DH and play anywhere in the IF wouldnt be surprised if they trade him tho..Their pitching staff scares me they are beat up and i think they will pay for it in the beginnig of the season.
                As
Love the As young pitching staff Cahill is a great young arm as well as Gio Brett anderson stays healthy they could have the best pitching staff in the AL...I hate their offense tho i look at their lineup and no one makes me go oh wow he can have a great year They have a chance at beating texas out but if the do it would be because they get hot at the right time.
