After all was said and done, I took San Fran. My friend who has a small percentage of my pick was begging me to take TBay. I just couldn't. I told him SFran was a sure winner and would get us through. He thought TBay was a sure winner. So, I got him to bet 1000.00 that if SF lost and TBay won he would win and vice a versa, so my pick is through and I pocketed a grand. We lost 20, so down to 87 for this week. We have to make 2 picks this week. So, this is what I need or would like from whoever reads this thread...I will list all of my possible choices. Pick the 2 games that you would choose to just win the game. You don't have to write any thoughts( unless you want to) just your 2 winners. Some games will have choices both ways. Thanks for your input.

    Phil over Cinn
    Clev over Wash
    Wash over Clev
    Stl over Minn
    Mia over Jack
    No over TBay
    TBay over NO
    Buff over Seat
    Seat over Buff
    SD over Carol
    Carol over SD
    Oak over KC
    KC over Oak
    Tenn over NYJ

Congrats. I won one of my 2 remaining pools for an NFL Jersey, and am in top 2 in the other for decent $$$, and guaranteed a nice prize, as final 4 get paid. We are in double pick since week 11. I used Cleve today as one pick. Everyone else(9 guys) used TB. It's a double elim pool, and one guy had zero losses, so now we both have 1, and we play it out. He wins any ties because he got his 1st strike later than me. So next week I'm using Miami for sure, and probably Oakland. That's who I'd recommend. Probably SD over Caro next.

Hey Wiscy, you Da MAN! Way to go!! I'm glad both "our" Seattle and SF piks came in, so didn't have any remorse I will thank you immensely for talking me into saving SF for wk#17, if I make it to that point undefeated. First off, when do you make your picks for the week in your contest usually? Just wondering as far as adding late feedback? As far as early thoughts on games you have listed, obviously Seattle over Buff looks to be a no-brainer. It appears, based on your thread from last week, you pretty much have them underlined here? So for the other pick, I had circled Washington for my choice this week, but now unsure with Griffin's injury. So waiting that one out. Miami is my back-up pick, and may move to #1. For your other choices, I guess I would look at NO at home, they are a different team playing in front of that crowd, and SD at home, for much the same reason. But those games fall a ways behind my top 3 of Seattle-Washington-Miami. Continued success Mr(Wiscy)Survivor. We definately should consider a survivor contest within our BW group next year. Maybe similiar to our Mock Hilton, someone holding the $, and being the administrator.
Miami opens as a 7 point fav, SD and NO 3 point favs, no line on Sea/buff, or wash/clev yet.

First off, I am flattered for you to ask Wiscy. Should you choose to, I am positive you should be able to locate my email. I don't mind at all conversing that way. As of November 7th, I am unemployed, so I am spending even more time online, as you might notice by my replies to threads I've enjoyed this gambling business, more as a hobby, although I have had my experiances over the years. Currently I am just a nickle and dimer. My wife of 35 years knew going in that this was my one fault/habit. So fortunately I have been able to go to Vegas countless times, local casinos off and on, and feed my habit by playing online. I have to set limits for myself, and I have stayed away from poker, even tho I felt I was pretty decent at it, my bankroll said otherwise So your call Wiscy, if feel like conversing by email, by all means feel free. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Sorry for stealing this thread for this, back to regular scheduled programming, survivor thoughts

Phil over Cinn - Philly is playing better and are at home. Cincy can't seem to hold a lead or put teams away.
Clev over Wash - watch status of RGIII (sprained knee)
                Wash over Clev
Stl over Minn - Stl hard to figure...they're now 3-1-1 last 5. Probably a toss-up
Mia over Jack - just when it looked like Jax might be improving they lose 2 winnable games in a row. I like Miami at home in this one
No over TBay - both have lost 3 in a row after going on tears...who knows in this one
                TBay over NO
                Buff over Seat -
Seat over Buff - wow...Seattle looks really f'ing good and Fred Jackson out for Buf. Spiller may not be as shifty on slick field/snow. I like Seattle
SD over Carol - I rarely pick the ride side in Charger games but Car might be set-up for a let-down after drubbing Atl
                Carol over SD
                Oak over KC - suck-ass game and a toss-up
                KC over Oak
Tenn over NYJ - the only Jet victory that now looks impressive was the rout over Indy.....the others Buffalo, Miami, Jax, Stl. Ten has had a brutal schedule but this is a game they should probably win.

Congrats, Guesser and Hart Attack for cashing in. I have made it to week 16 pick number 2 for 2 years in a row and I really want to cash this year.

actually it was "take-2" since everyone crapped out by week 3 and we started a second one in week 4, but 10 straight weeks without a loser in the NFL is decent.

I would take NO which has to play better, Brees hates to loose and TB just does not have the offense to keep up. The other pick without question is Seattle, I am not a Pete Carroll fan, but he really has this team playing well.

I would dispute the statement that TB doesn't have the offense to keep up. Against the NO defense I think they do. In the first meeting TB had more 1st downs, more yds, higher avg gain per offensive play, more yds rushing, more yds passing, less TO's, fewer punts, 7:30 min TOP advantage, led 21-7 at one point and came within an rch of tying the game at the end of regulation. Want to take a guess at which team has scored more points so far this year? Tampa Bay is actually averaging 1/2 pt more per game, and they are giving up 5.5 less pts per game. I'm not saying TB will win but they certainly have the ability to hang right in there with NO. And not just this year. Historically TB has played NO tough. Over the last 20 meetings TB is 10-10 both SU and ATS, and when playing in the dome they are 6-4 SU and 7-3 ATS.

My mid-week top 2, are Miami and Seattle. I am going with Miami for my survivor pick this week, barring any sage advice to the contrary Wiscy Reading Dragons rebuttal on TBay has me leaving NO alone, although I had them a close third. I'm looking at Oakland heavily now too, with Bowe out, and I think KC had their one big emotional game for the year already. I don't have Seattle to choose in my pool, so my choices in order, and rating, 10 being most confident Seattle 8.5, Miami 8, Oakland 5, NO 5, Wash 4, SD 4. Best of luck this week!

Oldluds, I personally think you should go with Miami. I have a little bit of a dilemma on my hands, see next post. I still never received your email and would be interested in talking to you on the phone. I have some good poker stories for you. I used to play for a living and I am trying to get back into it.
