College Football 9/27/03

Bit of a off day last saturday but still 4-2 on top plays.

Iowa -6 (bought 1/2 point early in week) TOP PLAY
--Iowa on huge ATS and SU winning run. I think they are still underratted at this point.

Alabama +1-- TOP PLAY--Seems everyone is on Arkansas but I like Bama to win at home after a disappointing start to their season.

Penn State +3

Washington State +4

Notre Dame +10.5-- Too many points here. ND has ahard time scoring but their D will help keep it close.

Iowa State +7---A let down from NIU after a huge start to their season with the upset over Bama last week. I think they will squeak another win out but maybe by 3-4 points.

Teams that win on the road as a double digit underdog, do really well vs the # the next week if they are playing at home, no let down here - Iowa State will have to be the better team today to beat the # $$$$'s coming in on Iowa St line now 6


Also N.D. young and not doing well on D, PURDUE has the best D they have had in years. ND got down vs WASH ST big MICH big and even MICH st had them double digits at ND 10 seams like a big # - but when you cant score not so bid

Its called notre dame syndrome. You cant just look at the numbers and believe them. Substitute team x playing team y and its tougher to call. i see no play on this one

1-4 on the night and not to happy about it.

That Notre Dame bit was exactly correct and usually remember it and stay off them all year!! I got sucked in this time and it screwed me big time. Iowa fumbled too much and Iowa State must have got hurt in the 4th as I have not seen anything on it yet. Looks like Minn got a late FG to make mInn cover and I don't know what I can say about the Bama melt-down. They are just plain bad--even at home!! Should have stayed with the crowd but went against them this time and should ahve won but they sucked late in the game!

Just something to learn from next week. Thanks to those who chimed in and hopefully I can do better next week!!

on to the pros where it is a tougher call than the college this week.

2 years ago, i think i lost every week on West Virginia. dont know why, but couldnt see them in a correct way.
