  • Tuesday NBA...Blazers at Bucks

    8pm ET
    Portland Trailblazers @ Milwaukee Bucks

The Portland Trailblazers go for their fourth straight win tonight when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks are just 6-15 ATS against the West this season while Portland are 12-11 ATS against the East and tonight we're forecasting the Blazers to get a very important road win.

Portland has won and covered four of their last five overall taking care of Sacramento and Utah at home and Minnesota both home and on the road. Key to the Blazers recent success has been a huge improvement defensively as they are allowing just 80.8 ppg through their last five games. They have slotted Theo Ratliff into the line-up and he is averaging a league-leading 4.2 blocks per game since joining the Blazers.

"I just go all out like a maniac out there on the court," Ratliff said. "I try to get in their heads and get them thinking about me. I'm just trying to help my team as much as possible. When guys are taking my teammates to the hole, I try to be there as much as possible."

Portland are desperate to make the play-offs for a record 22nd straight season and simply have to keep on winning to have any chance. "It's just a group effort," coach Maurice Cheeks said. "There's nothing hidden. It's just the guys going out there and playing harder than the opponent."

"At this point, we're desperate for every game" said Blazers guard Derek Anderson. "Guys have a sense of urgency now, and nothing else matters besides winning games. It's not about your points or rebounds. Nobody is looking at the stat sheets anymore. You can tell just by the results we're getting, we're outplaying teams because we're outworking them."

Milwaukee have a fantastic home record this season of 24-10 SU but they have cooled off recently covering just one of their last five at the Bradley Center and only two of nine overall. And it's not like the Bucks have been playing against upper-echelon opposition....the five teams that have beaten Milwaukee this month have records of 28-39, 30-36, 30-37 (twice) and 36-32.

We'll go with a hot Western Conference team tonight against a cold team from the East.

    Recommended Play: Portland +1
