  • Jets/Phins

Most books have the Jets -2 up to -3 over Miami on Sunday. Pinny has them at -1 right now and was that way all last night. Do they know something we don;t or is there that much more money on Miami. I personally played the Jets on the ML at -119 at Pinny.

What do you think b/c most of the times the books are closer than that to each oter on NFL lines.

If you're looking for an honest opinion Woodee, I'll give you mine..........I smell a rat-trap......Anyone that's paid attention this year (and even those who haven't), know how bad Miami sucks this year, and that the Jets have played respectable football........So why is the spread hanging around 1-2 points?......Easy, so that everybody with a wallet jumps on the Jets looking for the easy payday.......But we've seen how these games have gone in the past, and it just reverts to my age-old saying that "anything that looks too good to be true, usually is"....

Now I'm not saying that the Jets won't trounce the Dolphins by 2 touchdowns or more (like they should), all I'm saying is I won't be betting MY money on it.......Heck, look at last week where the Giants were going against the Redskins and the two teams had two of the highest scoring offenses and two of the weakest (points allowed) defenses......The books hang the total up at around 38 points.....Hell, Washington had practically scored 38 points ALONE the week before vs. Jacksonville !!!!!!.......Bigger than shit, everyone started salivating and plunging on the OVER since this one looked so easy (one Bettorsworld member even went so far as to say he "hadn't gone this big on a total in years") .....and then the 2 teams combine for a 19-3 score....Go figure.....the bookies are STILL doing their figures.....trying to figure out how much they cleaned up on.

This is my theory and style of figuring out NFL games (College Football just doesn't work out the same)........And some people think I'm sick.....or at least too much of a skeptic......But hey, Vegas wasn't built with money from the public being RIGHT all the time.......Just my opinion....Good Luck.

lts simple, Harrington had the Dolphins playing better ball last week. He will be even better this week after having a week to practice with all of the starters and get timing issues down.

Anonymous is right on. Harrington did play well last week. That, and the stomping the jets recieved from jax lw. I have the feeling people still believe in this miami team. Harrington, even though he played well last week, still lost the game. Thats what he does, loses. He'll make everyone think there's reason for hope and let you down in the end. He sucks and so do the dolphins.

Personally I am staying away from this game. After seeing what the Jags did to the Jets, the Jets may be alot closer to what I believed they were going into the season (5-11) than what they looked like after the first 4 weeks (8-8). ALthough Miami is in disarray, they played well enough to beat the Pats. If not for 2 missed FGs and a pass interference in the endzone, they would have won that game. So if I had a gun to my head, I probably pick Miami, but more likely I stay away.

Thanks foir the thoughts...Either way think I still like the Jets here and was thinking of playing them before I saw the line difference. As always, there are 2 sides that look equally attaractive which what the odds makers want!

            Good Luck
