Black Cat's Top 100 Free Picks Completed for 2006

As a special Christmas gift to all of you, I wrapped up the season 4-1 today. I liked the format of the series this year and I hope the feature was enjoyed by some of you and expect to repeat the series and the performance annually.

The feature posted a 58% finale, with the last 50 picks winning at near a 2-1 clip. 10 of the past 13 weeks were decided with a winning margin (3 pushes). Not that I'm bragging....

Yeah, I've been following the Cat all year long and hes is very solid...Watch for his playoff picks which only get better. I bet there are only a hand-full of cats out there that finished 58% in the NFL.

Man have I been missing out. I've been living under a rock and only reading the threads on the forum. Guess I need to get a little more curious and look around the entire site. Thanks for the information.

I believe this was my 3rd year with the column. Last year, I did about the same overall but the success was very front-loaded as I've gotten off to a really good start every year. This was by far my most consistent and strongest year in the back-half of the slate.

58% doesn't sound too amazing at first glance, but when it represents winning about 3-of-5 every time for about 20 straight times, its pretty amazing. The goal of my column is 60% and I expect extended stretches of 2-of-3 wins once in a while.
