  • Question on a 6pt teaser

Jeff and any of you guys in the Forum who might have some input, I have a
    question for you.

If you bet a 6pt. teaser putting 12 to make 10, and you win one and push
the other, how would you grade it?

Would it turn into a win as a straight bet, a no bet , or a loss.

    Your input is appreciated. Thanks.

With teasers, if you push anything, its a loss. Thats the bad thing about them.

Actually think book vary on whether its a loss or a push. As long as you win one side, and tie the other, I am pretty sure most bokks give you a push-at least mine do, I am about 90% sure but may wantr to contatc your book to find out.

        Woodee is correct.

It depends on the book. Check the rules for the book you played it at.

Most books reduce the teaser to the next level in the case of a push. In the case of a two teamer, that would reduce it to a straight wager.

Some books offer better prices on teasers as a promotional gimmick.......of course, they do have better prices, but when you read the fine print, you see that in their teasers, ties lose.

i know that on 5 dimes, where i play, if i play on a 4 team 5 point teaser, and i win on 3 and tie on 1, it is considered a push, and it goes from a 4 team to a 3 team, and i still win.

i play my teasers on;.... 5 dimes.com and i also play at,..... carib sportsbook.com, i have also played on..... wagerweb.com

take care and play teasers, they work for me.

I love teasers myself. I usually do 3 teamers, the extra juice on 2 teamers sometimes isn't worth it.
One reason why I read this forum is to get the great insight and once I have narrowed my choices down, I tease them.
I had great success this year teasing the Bettorsworld releases (thanks again) and The Black Cat.

Most books will return your "risk" on a two-team 6-point teaser that results in a win and a push...........Not so however with a three-team "Sweetheart Teaser" that involves 10 or 13 point teases.........in this case, the ties usually lose...............If your book is telling you that you lost your bet with a win and a tie, you're gettting ripped.

Yes Boone, absolutely correct. I stopped playing those larger teasers just for that reason. I play the 6 and 6.5 point teasers, usually for 3 outcomes.
Lines from Bowmans are as follows...
                6 point teasers
                1 From 1 Push
                2 From 2 -110
                3 From 3 +180
                4 From 4 +300
                5 From 5 +450
                6 From 6 +700
                7 From 7 +900
                8 From 8 +1400
                9 From 9 +2000
                10 From 10 +2500
                11 From 11 +3000
                12 From 12 +4000
                13 From 13 +6000
                14 From 14 +10000
                For 6.5 point teasers
                1 From 1 Push
                2 From 2 -120
                3 From 3 +160
                4 From 4 +250
                5 From 5 +400
                6 From 6 +600
                7 From 7 +800
                8 From 8 +1200
                9 From 9 +1500
                10 From 10 +2000
                11 From 11 +2500
                12 From 12 +3000

AT PINNACLE YOU HAVE A WINNER AND A PUSH YOU GET PAID A LESSER AMOUNT, BUT LOCAL GUYS TRY TO MAKE IT A LOOSER, YOU SHOULD SET UP THE GUIDELINES WITH THE BOOK YOU ARE DEALING WITH.

Wow, I assumed a tie equals a loss with teasers. Bodog is giving me the shaft then. I've had many teasers that win all and tie one, and I get a loss for it. Brutal.

I live in Reno, Nevada and often bet 2 team 6 point teasers. The places I normally bet, Cal-Neva and Harrahs, treat a win and a tie as a push.
