  • Purdue -3 over Duke (need your input)

I know Carpet follows the Illini, I went to Purdue and follow them closely. I knew that they were going to be good last year. Now, the expections are high for this season.

Mackey Arena is tough to play in, but I have a bad feeling about this one and would like everyone's unbiased opinion.

Purdue's strength is D and outside shooting.

Purdue's weakness is inside presence/rebounding and foul trouble. When they face a team with a big man (Oklahoma) they are overmatched. If they were going to play North Carolina, they would get killed by Hansbrough. I can see Singler having a big game.

With Duke, this year they have not been tested. Played really a nobody schedule (granted the Rhode Island game was close). Michigan is not really that good. Is Duke's record fools gold?

The NIT has helped Purdue by taking down Boston College, though they did struggle down the stretch. They had the Oklahoma down 9 late in the second half, but could not hold on.

Can Hummel stay out of foul trouble? Can Duke break down Purdue's D to get open shots that they will drain.

I know the ACC has dominated this annual Challenge, and I can see this happening again. I can see Purdue playing tough, but they have yet to put away a top tier team.

I believe that Duke wins this by 5 and will unfortunately take the points.

I look forward to everyone's unbiased insight.

Purdue 4-7 ATS vs ACC since 1997

How did Duke get a true Road game ?

Purdue losing to OK, tells me that they
are not ready for prime time

Got to stay with Duke, my numbers say Duke
    by 6
