Illinois opens a 6.5 chalk at home vs the Badgers

The wounded badgers have never lost 4 straight
big 10 games under coach Bo Ryan. The Badgers
have lost 3 straight games starting with Purdue and
2 overtime losses to Minny and Iowa.

Turnovers have cost the badgers in each of these games

When I looked at this game, I saw Illinois being about
7 points better than the badgers, but when you factor in
the wounded badger effect my numbers drop to 3

This game has all the looks and feel of a trap game
for Illinois, Coach Weber of Illinois keeps saying
it's not a good time to be playing Wisky. And
Carpet agrees.

This should be a low scoring defensive battle
with the first team to 60 wins the game.

I think Illinois will win this game straight up
by a field goal, and snap Wisky's 5 game winning
streak over Illinois, but I do not see them blowing
Wisky out of the building.

Illinois up by 15 early only to see it shrink
to 5 with 2 minutes to play

My early numbers said Illinois by 7 exactly
what they won by, but the gut said take the straight
up win vs the spread.

17-3 Illinois shot 50% from floor and went
18 for 22 at the charity stripe 81.8%

This Illinois squad held Wisconsin to 35%
from the floor tonight on 21 for 59 shooting......
Thats DEFENSE.

At 17-3 Illinois is in my opinion with out a doubt
the best surprise in basketball compared to last year.
