Rickjs handicapping picks wk of 04/5

I am going to put out the baseball picks similar to the nhl. Leans and Plays. The only difference is that a play has every variable pointing to the side while a lean has all but 1. I do not anticipate much difference in the outcomes but its more for my record keeping.

Today 1 lean in mlb

I usually will be putting these picks out about an hour before the game but
this one is clear cut with the public only 20% on Oakland tonight.


Regarding the Duke Butler tonight. The line opened at -5.5 and is -7.5 at most books
and -8 at a few. The public favors Duke by almost 2 to 1. Of the variables I look
at 2 favor Butler and the other is neutral. Since in college basketball I don't use
public percentages in my handicapping I need everything else to line up on 1 side before I bet it. So a pass for me tonight.

Oh....The Ipad is great. I watched some of the first season of Saturday night live from the bellagio yesterday!

Tues nba lean

Our 1st mlb play lost yesterday as Oakland came back and tied the game in the 7th only to lose 5-3 giving up 2 in the top of the 9th.

Today a lean in the nba:

Utah -5.5

There are a few other possibilities today and as always I
will update my blog and twitter if anything new develops.

Wedn mlb lean

Tues we lost with Utah in the nba. It looked like it was going to be a cover with about 3 min left to go and Utah ahead by 12. But the end game didnt go our way and Utah only won by 1 in OT.

Thurs we won with Washington +133.

Today there is a likely lean in the evening games in mlb. Its close enough
right now that I am going to wait until later this afternoon to put it out.

Nothing else today appears to be even close.
