BAMA vs PENN STATE

The line opens at 12 and quickly drops to 11.5

This is the first matchup I think since 1990 when Penn State won 9-0.

I really didnt like the way Penn State came out and played vs Youngs town state, they were slow in getting out the blocks. If this game was scheduled for game six of the season for Penn State then I would say bama would be in for a war.

But it's next week and Penn State is not ready for this game. The heat is back in alabama and weather will play a major role in this game. If its hot and sticky at game time the conditioning and depth of Penn State will wear on them and show late.

There is no way that the PSU will be able to keep up with the blazing speed of bama in my floor view of things. Now history has shown that every time these two teams play each other its a war and close game.

If Penn State can get bama to play a Big 10 smash mouth football game they have a chance but bama is way to smart to fall for that. State will run the ball every chance they get and those 300 pound beast that anchor that offensive line will be gasping for air as they push the ball in extreme heat.

State has a whole new Linebacker corps and I think at this point in the season they have not seen anything like the works bama will throw at you.

Again if this was week 6 or 8 I would take a hard look at Penn State, but it is not. I watched the Penn State game and was not impressed.

my opinion on bama is if our front 7 shuts down royster and make the freshman pass the ball it will be a long night for the lions, this is an easy defense call if i was coaching, blitz blitz blitz, ROLL TIDE

I really think Bama stacks the box on Royster and forces the young QB to air it out.

PSU is one hard hitting football team and Bama may lose a few more players in this game, but they are deeper than PSU in most positions.

This game is going to come down to conditioning it going to be a hot and humid night to much for Penn State to handle.

I just watched the Press Conf that Paterno held, and he said a few things that stand out,
One we are young maybe the youngest team he has coached in a long time.

Second he has great respect for the speed of bama and noted bama is breaking in a new kicker.

Third, his RB Royster came in over weight and is now back to playing weight after last weeks game, he seemed upset by that.

Bama holds Royster to 32 yards rushing and forced 4 turn overs from a young QB

When you look at all the stats the only thing that really stood out was the turnovers of Penn State

This Bama team is a Top Team in my eyes and played like it today, Penn State will get better as the season gets older bank on that.
