    MNF---49ers Anyone?

    What is your take on the game?

    I am on the Niners +5 right now. One of my fav plays of the week really.

    Everyone loves the Saints and their season "last" year. Now they travel west to face a good team that is 0-1 and on the prime time stage again.

    I say its a close one settled on a FG either way.

    80% of the bets are on the Saints too at the moment.

    Like to see it get to +6 but probably not going to happen.

    I just don't trust Alex Smith to get it done. The square bet is on the Saints so I guess I'm going to take the bait. The Saint defense is pretty good and SF's looked a little over-rated last week. If those corners play like they did last week Brees will kill them. And the offenses are worlds apart.

        On paper, it's the Saints. But it's being played on grass, not turf and outside of their cozy Dome, thousands of miles away from New Orleans. Niners will be pumped after falling flat last week and because it is the Super Bowl champs.

        Having said all that, I respect the Saints and their coach and their preparation so I'm not predicting a Niners blow out with Alex Smith at the controls, but I'm expecting it to be close. I bought it up to Niners +7.

          Wind slowed the Saints and great Niner defense. But 5 turnovers against the defending champs are a lot to overcome. It seemed we were lucky to get the cover, but in reality, the Saints were lucky to get the win. Or good enough to make their own luck. Saints are 0-2 ATS if you count their closing line of -5.5 or -6 last week. Some called it -5 and a push.

            Close one for sure. Both teams made their mistakes. SF was lucky to get that cover with their turnovers. Tough D.

            I hate going against the Saints b/c they just know how to win, but felt that it was a good spot.

            Alex Smith drives me nuts. I am going to be careful with him the rest of the year.
