I have been snake bitten all year with bad red zone plays. I had Denver also and they left at least 6 points off the score board. I remember more teams in the past driving the ball for the winning score, this year teams are driving and missed FG's and turnovers seam more like the norm.

Thurs mlb play

Cleveland won 4-3 on Wedn. I was asked about the other game of the double header since I had put it out as a play the day before and the same pitchers were going with a better price.

I do most of my workup around 6 to 7 am and usually put my picks out around 7:30 or so.

For some reason with double headers all of the variables I look at are not available all the time early. In addition as it turned out the public was on the game 39% as opposed to around 33% the day before. Now in the big scheme of things that would not seem to be very significant. But the way I handicap baseball 40% is the key level I look at. So 39% would make it marginal. If I devoted most of my time to handicapping this would of been a play. But since I devote such a small amount of time to it....some marginal games are going to get passed by.

Friday mlb lean

The White Sox had an easy time of it on Thursday winning 8-2 and denying lester his 20th win.

Nothing I can see in the ncaa fb game tonight. The line opened at 6.5 and is now down to 3.5 this morning with 63% of the public on the road favorite.

Another note...September is behind us in Baseball and its a good example of the swings that can take place month to month. At a little over the half way mark to the month we were down about 9.5 units for the month and things were looking pretty grim. It was our largest downswing of the season and it was a sharp quick downswing. I know from some of the comments I received and emails that some got very discouraged and more then likely gave it up.

The point is that when you begin wagering you need to expect drawdowns. Its not a question of if they will occur. Its only a question of when and how much. This year 9.5 has been the worst in mlb. But believe me when I tell you..it can get much worse then that!

Now for those that didnt get discouraged the last day of the month brought us into the plus column for the month. Not much of a plus but about a half a unit. So in less then a half a month we recovered to overcome the 9.5 unit drawdown. A nice surprise.

The trick is to bet an amount that a 20 unit downslide will not cause you any monetary or psychological discomfort. This is supposed to be fun. For me its an intellectual exercise each morning similar to working crossword puzzles.

I know I have written the above many times before...but believe me when I tell you...when your gambling on a daily basis....assuming your a positive ev player....its the most important concept you need to understand and apply.

Sunday nfl

Saturday we lost boston in a close game in mlb.

But after a slow start to ncaa fb we went 5-0. All were pretty clear cut winners with the exception of Unlv who held on to cover the 20.5 by 2 in an exciting finish.

In the Nfl today my Hilton picks are:

Denver +6.5
Cleveland +3
Carolina +13.5
Jacksonville +7.5
Arizona +8

I am 8-7 going into week 4.

In Leroys All are the same except Cleveland is +2.5 and Arizona is +8.5

Usually when a number comes off of 3 I look for other games but this week I dont see anything to replace it with.

I am 7-8 In Leroys going into week 4.

Plays today in the Nfl are:

Also there could be another play in the early games and will update if anything becomes clear.
