BettorsWorld 2010/11 College Bowl Games Contest OFFICIAL RULES

There will be a Bettorsworld 2010/11 CFB Bowl Game Contest. The contest will start with the games on Dec 18 and end with the Championship Game on Jan 10th.

Here are the rules:

1)Pick SIDES ONLY! No totals.
2) Dec 18th thru Jan 10th Bowl game wins will be scored as follows:
- BCS Championship Game win - 3 pts
- BCS Bowls: Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, and Orange wins - 2 pts
- All other lesser Bowl wins from Dec 18th thru Jan 9th - 1pt
3) All ties will be worth 1/2 point regardless of when the game is played!
4) The tiebreaker, if necessary, will be the combined total score of the BCS Championship Game.
5) Bowl games and LV Hilton lines will be posted 1-2 days prior to their scheduled start date.
6) All picks must be POSTED ONE HOUR prior to the scheduled start of the FIRST GAME that will be played on that day. PLEASE READ THIS RULE CAREFULLY! This is for ease of scorekeeping.

The top three contestants with the most points will receive:
1st place $250
2nd place $150
3rd place $100

It appears Woodie (who wrote earlier that he thought he was being black balled from the site because Jeff wasn’t paying fast enough on the college football contest) is salivating to post the lines for the contest. Must be a guilty conscience! If that is so important to Woodie - go gettem boy. BUT WOODIE - Please follow the above OFFICIAL RULES, not one's that you make up along the way for your convenience.

As clearly stated in the contest rules, you (Woodie) are to use the Las Vegas Hilton (LV Hilton) lines which are readily available over at vegasinsider.com. The reasons LV Hilton was selected: 1) they’re legal in the US (Nevada); 2) I recall in the past Bettorsworld has participated in the annual LV Hilton pro pickem contest; and 3) if anyone visits Vegas, it’s one of the better sports books in Clark County.

Line duty is all yours Sir..I didn't even read the rules closely this morning and made a simple mistake posting too soon on it. I apologize.

Just trying to help out, nothing else, honest.


But I don't want to be bitched at the whole time either, so I will help Dragon score as needed and you can post the lines when appropriate.

Does anyone want to volunteer to post the College Bowl games as defined in the above rules? Please respond in the next day or so. If not, I will proceed to post the three Dec 18th games on Dec 16th.

I have no stake in this contest other than to avoid arguments and disputes as we’ve noted have occurred in past years because the rules were not explicit and odds lines were way off at game time. Once again, anyone feel free to volunteer and post the games and I'll step aside and just try to place in the top 3 in the contest.

Then you'll know it will be done correctly and within the rules,, done how you want it, etc and then I will be clear on my end too.
