How we going to grade it for the contest? I see no action is the most reasonable grade.

Since we had 2 instances already in the contests, where plays are messed up, do you think we should scrap both of these plays and catch up in the next couple weeks, i.e. make an extra play?

For those of us who had the utah-usc game and then the lightening games in week 0?

I don't care either way but a ruling needs to be made.

My bet on Utah in my book was ruled no action.

xbigpappa isnt going to care all he cares about is that he got auburn right and RR84 got it wrong he runs a joke for a contest and if it doesnt have to do with a girl or his play he isnt gunna change anything

Oh man...you've got to be kidding me...lol. This is the first I've heard about this. I remember watching that game and thinking how it would have sucked if you would have had Utah +8.5. This year is unreal.

yea i had usc -9.5 thanks to the refs blowing that call and not letting usc kick the extra point i lost lol i just looked today and saw they ruled my play a no action as well

I think they should have just admitted the mistake and let the score stand. That's what they did in the Steeler/Charger game a couple yrs ago. Seriously if you are going to change it why not bring both teams back and let them kick the extra point...it's that ridiculous. USC won anyway, if it's all about the points you're going to give them 6, what about the extra pt? What if it would have resulted in a tie game that the extra point would have decided? BTW, I thought the books had a 1 hr rule when the game became official.

IMPORTANT: Officially the score was changed to USC 23-17. However, many sportsbooks will grade the game 17-14 as betting rules state that they do not recognize "scoring amendments, result reversals and overturned decisions for wagering purposes."

My book gave me a loss 23-14

I don't see why they get the TD. The flag was thrown before he scored. But maybe for that type of penalty, they don't want to take the TD away since the penalty was not on something that actually helped them score. So if there was time left, they would have assessed the penalty on the kickoff. And they should have kicked the XP even if there wasn't time left - unless it was OT. The refs blew that. Or were the refs thinking they had nullified the TD. They said something about a dead ball foul. So maybe they thought they were supposed to nullify the TD.

23-14. It was 17-14 when they lined up for the FG.

The GOW line was -9.5 so it was a Utah win and a USC loss with or without the TD. There's no way you can give them the extra point, even though they deserved it. Now, how xbigpappa rules on it is anybody's guess!

I watched the end and I thought the refs disallowed the TD, They walked off the field with the score showing USC 17-14, then I see this thread and doubled checked my book and sure enough I guess they credited USC with that last TD, so I gut burned by 2 late TDs in this 1 and the pick 6 Miami/Maryland game.

Yeah, I guess that is right and have to go with the final score. I guess if we are going by earlier precedent on the lighting games then the final is the final.

I don't remember this type of stuff happening in the past 10 years! and now its 2 weeks in a row.
