  • 2011 College football Game of the Week...........Week 5

The COLLEGE FOOTBALL game of the week handicapping contest is just like the NFL game of the week contest. The contest is simple. Pick ONE COLLEGE FOOTBALL game per week, against the spread. The winner is the contestant with the most wins at the end of the year.

This contest is held in our main Bookies Hell posting forum. Picks are posted in the appropriate thread each week, and standings are generally posted on Tuesdays.

This contest is not only popular to participate in, but also very popular among those looking for quality free picks. Like the NFL contest, the reason for this is very simple. There are some great handicappers in this contest, and each week, you're getting their very best play.

    Official Rules:

    1. Players in this contest will post one pick per week using the line listed in the respective Thursday’s edition of the USA today…..SIDES or Totals. If more than one pick is posted the first pick will be used. Editing picks will not be allowed. Once your pick is posted it is official. Saturday games ONLY!!!!!

    2. Picks MUST be posted by 11:00am (EST) on Game day Saturday. NO EXCEPTIONS If you have problems accessing the site e-mail picks to [email protected] before the posting deadline!

    3. The contest will run from Sept 3rd (Labor Day Weekend) thru Dec 3rd. Any tie breaker will be decided by the Army/Navy game in on Dec 10th.

    4. Wins (1 point), ties (1/2 point) will be recorded and posted on the following Tuesday.

    5. Not posting a pick will be counted as a loss.

    6. Miss any combination of Three (3) Weeks of not posting a pick and you are OUT of the contest.

    7. Players will "NOT" be allowed in after week #2.

    9. If you come in on week #2, week #1 will be counted as a loss.

    10. Use this link to get the Thur line http://www.usatoday.com/sports/front.htm

    11. In the final three weeks of the contest all contenders (who will be bolded in the standings) MUST submit their picks via email to [email protected] or BETTORSWORLD AT GMAIL. Picks will be posted as soon as all picks have been received from all contenders. This rule has been established to provide a competitively balanced playing field for all contestants.
The prizes for this contest are as follows :

    1ST PLACE - $ 1,000.00
    2ND PLACE - $ 350
    3RD PLACE - $ 250

My record is 3-2 and is missing from the standings. I thought this was all cleared up after last week's investigation? I selected Notre Dame which was another winner with post #7 for week 4.

Can you please rectify? Thank You

(I have also posted this in the standings thread)

Xbig, why am I out of the contest? I haven't broken any rules to justify that. What is your major malfunction? Why do you insist on jumping on others when it is YOU who is at fault?

I have actually handled this entire fiasco in a calm and respectful manner, only politely asking for the mistakes to be fixed. Now I have to take it up with Jeff because you are too stuborn and pig-headed to fix your errors?

Small wonder so many posters despise you at this site. I have never seen anyone behave with such ignorance in my entire life. You should never be placed in any position of authority to run anything.

I've kept score before on these contests and it's not that easy. Just do what I did to make it easier for the scorekeeper.

Oh how hard and fast from the top we fall.

NB is a running team and Ohio States defense is made for that, on the contrary NB has a great Defense and OSU run game is marginal at best

Should be a close game, Welcome BIG 10 to Corn husker Football a game played in the middle of no where.

This game will show just where both teams are at this point in time, I just think NB needs to make a statement and they are at home.

I will take The Corn Huskers to seperate them selves from the pack and win by 10.5 my numbers show 14

Sorry for the write up, should of just said NB + 10.5 GL ALL
