Going back for seconds....UConn Huskies -2

  • #2
    Thats one I cirlced too!

Line is moving up with them, started at -1 now at -2.5.

Waiting for one of my books to release a line and I am on them too along with 70% of the bets so far. Conn is starting one of their make te tourney runs and I don't think a average WV team can beat them today. Lamb is a great scorer and I jsut hope they play some D early as well.

I need to put together a winning day as I went 50% and splilled the juice.

Not much more that catches my eye right off....I am probably going to be on Texas on Thursday over Iowa State as they havethe motivational edge in that one.

One Early game I like is Oregon State -3 over Washington State. Teams split 2 meetings this year, but OSU can score and Wazzou has trouble. OSU comes in off of 2 wins and WSU barely got by a bad USC squad in its last game winning 43-38. Maybe I am missing something but this looks like a win for OSU rather easily. May look ML on them too.

Any insight from you guys that I may be missing?

Scratch that--Wazzu beat OSU twce this year which makes me like the Beavers even more!

I have time to post on my laptop and not my mobile device.

I really like UConn here! Not because of the run they had last year, but the difference on how the team responds to a coach. Kids respond differently to a substitute teacher than the regular teacher. They know that Calhoun is tough on them and it shows on their play.

In all honesty, I have followed UConn closely this year as my son has been friends with a player's sister and we have watched him play all through high school. When Blaney was coaching, once a team started to put a run together on UConn, that was it, they couldn't take a punch nor counter punch!

The team had turmoil with Calhoun suspended for the first 3 Big East games and then missing 7 games on medical leave. Add to the fact that the NCAA made Boatright sit out 9 games, the team really did not have a chance to gel during the Big East season.

UConn went 2-1 when Calhoun was suspended for the first 3 games of the Big East season. UConn then went 2-5 in the games Calhoun missed while he was on medical leave. So, UConn went 4-6 without Calhoun and 4-4 with Calhoun.

Finally, UConn beat WV by 7 earlier in the season.

I just believe this team will win today as they are the more talented. Talented does not guarantee success but hard work with talent does and that is what Calhoun will get out of team.

I will tail you guys on the UConn pick since it is only -2. But I believe it will be a closer game than we might think. I think UConn will do whatever it takes to win the game, but their margin of victory may just be one or two points. It looks close to me.

In the NBA, I like Philly -5.5 over Boston. Boston is playing a little better lately, but I think the line should be closer to 7 or 8. Boston has to travel after playing an OT game last night, while Philly is at home with a night of rest.

OCK, great call on Dallas! I was all over that play like a hobo on a hoagie!

I do like the 76ers too. I was listening the Celtics game on the radio on the way home last night and they were really concerned with the back to back overtime games going into Philadelphia. They are expecting tired legs as they expended a lot energy in the Knicks game Sunday afternoon and the Houston game last night.

Pierce and Allen 41 minutes, Rondo 47 minutes last night.
Allen 44, Pierce 46 and Rondo 47 on Sunday.

I only tailed you guys, Taxman and woodee made the call. I just felt it would be a close game, that is all.

It was too close for my old heart to take. I really gave up on UConn when they got down late in the second half. I could not believe it when they came back and got it to go into OT.

Once it went into OT, I felt confident UConn would win in OT, but it was too close for me.

Yep, just jumped on Pitt! They are helter skelter, but G-Town is not much better. Pitt was a good team early in the season and fell apart. This might finally be the dog to bark!
