Boys, Curious about your experience in the real Hilton?

As last season went on, just interested in your thoughts about
playing the big contest. Did you enjoy it? How did you handle the
stress as the weeks went by? What would you have changed or
done differently in your pick process? (Besides picking more winners)

Been in the real Hilton three times now. The first year (2004) we tied for first place and split $131,000, now that was pretty amazing. In 2005 we didn't place and the same in 2011, but it was fun. I had an unreal year personally in 2004 going 14-3, think we ended up going something like 55-30. Yes there was stress, but I just dealt with it. I always started doing my handicapping on Tuesday, just trying to find that edge, took a lot of dogs in the Hilton, worked for me.............Thanks for asking.

Entered in 2010 and after 12 weeks and a record of 35-24-1 week 13's pix went 0-5 and the following week 1-4 and thats when the stress came in.....I had a buddy go into the contest with me and emotionaly it was brutal on him...After a 2 yr break might do it this year but you will have go 70% to win it...

I would enter as a team of five ($300 each) if anyone is interested. We would need someone in Vegas (Dependable).

We could use a Star * rating to determine top 5 picks.

I had no intent when I posted this to the Boys, but I would be willing to
join in if we can put together a group of 5.
We need to get a plan for doing this that makes us all feel comfortable in
the process and a strategy that would give us a chance to succeed.
Also, it may be more than $300 if we need to pay an initial proxy fee.

Dinger, Bret and Dragon post your ideas and let's see if we can put
this together, plus one other Don Quixote.

I think a guy I would have to have on my team from this site is resteasy if he is interested....the guy wins in the NFL..I think that we should find out who is interested and then from there pick the best 5...just my opinion

Not to jump ahead too much, but I think Dragon would be a
good choice for collecting our money and being the captain.
