Did Alabama have the best team in the Nation last year? Yes they won the national championship but I honestly believe it was one of the the weakest Bama teams over the last 3 years. I personally think college football lacked high caliber teams in general last year. I know the SEC was at a very low point. I think Bama was the best team in the nation last year but the thing is last years team could have spotted them 14 and kicked their ass. I think Widestides said that the previous Bama team would beat them by 20.. He is exactly right. They had a favorable schedule and were fortunate that everyone sucked...
I think the SEC has been at it's lowest level the last two years. Still there was not a conference to step up and beat them.. I was the most surprised. The big ten last year in my opinion was like the biggest debacle in college football history.. I do think that there will be better teams this year all around.. The SEC will be far below standards again and this is a fact. SC, Bama, and A&M is basically it. You won't see Tenn, Georgia, and Florida up to standards..LSU will be good but not dominate, Arkansas will be worse.. The big surprise will be Ole Miss..They will hurt some feelings...
So yes Alabama was the best team in the nation last year by default.. Everybody else in my opinion was really below national championship caliber. This is a fact at least in my opinion. They are going to be loaded maybe with more young talent than maybe I have ever sen this year and if they go to College Station and win and everybody else is like last year.. Pencil them in for another ring..SC could be a serious road block and is my early to win the SEC favorite.. But every time I count Bama out they do it...
