  • Does the SEC have the firepower to do it again?

Well I for one am not the person to ask because I thought they were actually down last year but they keep doing it. I will stand by me saying last years Alabama team would have got the shit kicked out of them by any of the last few SEC champions.. Makes you wonder though. Alabama will be totally loaded with young talent and they will be a force.. Texas Am has a tougher schedule but a really great team..Johnny TD will be a factor if he stays healthy but the team I like is South Carolina..I actually see no flaws in the amour. They will be fast, strong, and certainly have a coach that knows how to win. I won't give them the national championship nor will I say they go undefeated but trust me they have a shot...That being said if TJ Yeldon stays healthy things could be interesting.. He in my opinion could surpass Ingram and Richardson...Man that kid is good..

SC is my pick for the SEC..

    biggest surprise: Ole Miss
    biggest disappointment:LSU

No team can match the factory BAMA has built year after year with players.

Show me one team out there that has 5 star and 4 star players that deep at most positions as a team.

Hell Illinois is jumping for joy when we get one 4 star recruit.

As long as the SEC runs the BCS their always going to be in the title game unless the system is somehow changed...All I can do now is root for chaos cause the more problems they have the better...I will have personal bets on teams in the SEC but in the long run I am hoping the SEC falls on its face...

        BW,

I certainly can understand the anti SEC sentiment. Hell I love them and I am getting bored of it..

There are some that say (not me) that Ohio State could be the best team in the Land this year if their QB stays healthy. The Class of the Big 10 no doubt.

I think the Big 10 conference this year will beat the hell out of each other this year and Injuries will be a key focal point when betting, i.e. Big 10 teams are not stacked deep with backup talent like the sec.

            Carpet,

I certainly know this is your turf as far as the big ten goes. Every time that I think they may compete they fall way short.. I a serious when I say this.. The SEC had in my opinion one of the worst crop of teams in its history but still won the National Championship.. The big Ten seems to bring the physical part of the game with no speed. The Pac 10 brings speed with no physical presence whatsoever...ie the Oregon Ducks...Only the SEC in recent history has both. Miami/FL st. at one time had it but not now..I don't think it has been handed to the SEC at all.. Hell they deserved it.. They are physical and fast and until the rest of the conferences do this you will see more of the same.. Alabama will be young in certain areas but no way they won't be physical and fast.. They will be better than any team in any other conference and if they had a total out of conference schedule it is over with. But they have to play the SEC and everybody is physical and fast.. Just my opinion!!
